Glad to be able to help. I was going to mention that Bayre and Maya Perez both write great hurt Sam - protective Dean stories and Muffy Morrigan who wrote the last one is awesome and writes both hurt Sam and hurt Dean with the brothers switching roles of taking care of the other one. :)
