Dean/Castiel Newbie... Looking for Your Favorite Fics for the Pairing  
So, I am usually a Sam/Dean girl, but I've been exploring my options lately and thought I would give Dean/Castiel a try. I've mostly stayed away from the pairing because I just adore Sam/Dean, but I've practically scoured the internet of all Sam/Dean fics and read what feels like all of them. *g*

Anyways, so I was wanting to know if the Dean/Castiel fans out there could rec me your favorite fics with the pairing. I like first-time R or NC-17 rated fics that are preferably over 10,000 words (or a lot more!). I would be fine with either bottom!Dean or bottom!Castiel, though I usually like for them to stick to one position throughout the fic, so preferably no switching. I like smutty sexytimes in fics, but I like plot to, so no PWPs. I don't squick easily and rather enjoy the more kinky/extreme kind of fics say mPreg/egg!Preg, crossdressing, BDSM, etc.... the only thing that squicks me are really dark!fics and death!fics (where you know, they stay dead, LOL). Oh, and I would like Completed fics only, thanks!

I am another Dean/Sam girl who likes to sample other pairings at times and especially Dean/Castiel. I mostly read AUs (human!Cas/not a hunter!Dean) nowadays and you didn't say if you like that kind of fics or not so I'll give you only a few recs that are pretty much classics : Peanut butter pumpkin wedding cake (http://sparseparsley.livejournal.com/8666.html), We became fans of collisions (http://community.livejournal.com/her_own_write/29507.html) and Asunder (http://archiveofourown.org/works/62115?view_adult=true). I'm not sure about who bottoms or who tops, sorry. I only really enjoy top!Dean but if I'd let that always stop me I wouldn't read much in this fandom ;)

:D Well, to each his own, I just wish it was more of a 50/50 thing, especially when it comes to kink. It does seem that Destiel has a bit more top!Dean but I don't read this pairing enough to be sure.

Personally, I think that the person who goes bottom in the fics are the person who are the most insecure or sad or broken... Well you get my point. And I just think that a lot of people want to see Dean in that position, since he always plays so macho in the series... And your right. In the Destiel pairing (which I love) it is more 50/50. Personally, I think its because people want to see Castiel in a position were he is vulnerable just as much as they want to see Dean in one. But of course, that's just my opinion. I could be totally wrong... ;)
