two fics come to mind for AU Sam and Dean and one of them is MEGA long, like 3 million words long (I'm not kidding!) both are by bitchandjerk the Mikey!verse (http://bitchandjerk.livejournal.com/11371.html) and his Samcakes!verse (http://bitchandjerk.livejournal.com/?skip=30&tag=samcakes). He has a quirky style and they are fun fics to read, but also have angst too occasionally.
