This one is kinda more of a coming-out story: Screw 'em We're From Texas (http://makeit-takeit.livejournal.com/7249.html) but it deals with a relationship after a previous marriage. Plus, it's one of the best J2 AU stories ever written, as far as I'm concerned. No abuse, just good old fashioned relationship stuff.
