Jared was more like a civilian cut off from the rest of the society - a loner, and Jensen had somehow wound up at his place. There wasn't a lot of backstory to this; just a snippet of a fic describing this world. There was a war, with Jensen as a deeply programmed soldier who was not good at much else.

And I wish I could describe it better! It's just a really beautifully written fic that begs for more stories about these guys.
