I've heard about Fanvids, but have no idea really what they are. Anybody willing to give a quick explanation for them?

Could anybody out there recommend what they consider great fanvids? Wincest/RPS preferred, but any that really made you sit up and take notice are good.

let me rec my two fave SPN vids! They're set in early seasons, but MAN they are so perfect! Pretty much gen to my eyes:

Somebody's Child (http://sabaceanbabe.livejournal.com/264091.html) makes my jaw drop from the unbelievably perfect song/clip choice AND the technical wizardry--it's like watching 4 vids! at the same time! And each little window emphasizes the emotions of the song in a different way. Amazing.

Please Let Me Get What I Want (http://elliepdowd.webs.com/apps/videos/videos/show/1936206-please-let-me-get-what-i-want) is short but oh-so-powerful, contrasting sad reality with the djinn's dreamworld. Love it!
