LFR: Jensen protective of Jared (Physically)

Hi!  I absolutely loved the One Breath verse (My ultimate, all time favorite J2 fic actually) and it has me wanting more fics on the same idea.  Looking for stories where Jensen is protective of Jared physically, meaning he does something like pushing Jared out of the way of a car or he takes a punch for him or if there are stories where both are kidnapped or whatever and Jensen keeps getting the bad guys to focus on him and hurting him in order to protect Jared.  Basically looking for stories with the "Dean" version of Jensen where Jensen always takes the abuse in order to protect Jared.  Please, no death fics.  The J's can be just friends or in a relationship and self recs are welcomed.  Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the rec but was actually looking for the reverse, where Jensen protects Jared not Jared protects Jensen. I will still definitely read it though. Sorry for any confusion for having not provided the full title on the Just One Breath Verse by Kee. You really have to check it out. It is amazing! Thank you again for the rec.

You're both right! The entire title is Just One Breath (just in case there's just one left) by kee (the author formerly known as kkg).

It is a long, wonderful series that started with Just One Breath--even though the series itself has "timestamps" that lead up to the main event and continue beyond.

Oh, how I wish there were more non-AU stories like that... *sigh*

Try this: True Night (http://frostian.livejournal.com/147824.html). It doesn't have one single particular protective!Jensen gesture/moment like One Breath verse, but the general feel of the fic is badass, protective, take-charge Jensen doing what needs to be done so that Jared doesn't have to and so that they both survive. He's very Dean-like in that way, but it's still believable and not over-the-top.
