In an amazingly detailed and well-executed amalgam of spn and fandom, the author details the rise and fall of Chuck Shurly on LJ. Or rather, his sockpuppet "chuck_writes" and the furor that arises when he disses the fandom staple 'The Epic Love Story of Sam and Dean' written by "lord_kripke".

The usernames are fake. The communities are real. (Just be careful of getting sucked into charlottelennoxland, itself a fascinating history of HP fandom).
