Found'm: 3 stories with some of the same themes, which I mixed into One story in my memory.

I don't remember much. I think it was a Holiday fic of sorts. Castiel was Dean's weird College Roommate and Dean invites Cas to his home over the Holidays to spend it with his dad and sam, (possibly Mary as well). Castiel has a real love for ugly sweaters. He searches out salvation army bins and clearance sweaters in search of the ugliest but warmest sweaters.

any assistance in finding this story would be appreciated.

Its sort of like waves but that's not it. I remember the first part of the story has Dean arriving on Campus rather late into the evening and he buys pie or a burger at the campus cafeteria just as they're closing for the night and he ends up sharing it with Cas who had just got out of study group or something..... I like Waves its a good story. I think I read them about the same time this story and Waves... So I might be getting a few details mixed up. But chapter one has Dean arriving late on campus - that is pretty clear in my mind.

Cheeseburgers and Pie (http://kenzigoss.livejournal.com/7024.html), maybe? I don't recall any ugly sweaters, but the first part has Cas moving into their dorm room late in the evening, and there's pie sharing at some point. Cas goes home with Dean for Christmas too.
