I don't know where it came from but I have the sudden wish to read fanfiction with Dean showing his love for his "baby", being a mechanic, talking about cars, repairing a car...Well, I think you get the idea...Don't care about pairings or raitings. Just hit me with your favorite fics^^

Looking for a story I thought I'd saved, but apparently didn't.

What I remember of it is John chooses to buy a house, post Mary's death, to settle down in and Dean eventually goes to West Point, then M.I.T., while Sam goes to Stanford. The chapters are titled according to the year each one covers. During one point Dean is in Afghanistan and gets captured briefly...this sound familiar to anyone?

I did go through the search function and entered in AU Dean as well as West Point, M.I.T...

Hi, I'm looking for a story that i read a while back. In it John is training the boys on this balance contraption and dean ends up falling off while sam was told to help him and dean ends up breaking his arm. Sam gets told if he doesn't shape up he won't get to use the crossbow, and sam to show he doesn't like it smashes deans beloved crossbow on the ground and smashes it. After smashing the crossbow sam runs out of the house to a peach(apple maybe?) tree and falls asleep under it where john finds him, then punishes him and brings him back home.

I think there may also be a sequel to this story. So any idea what story I am thinking about? Thank you!
