Please help me find this specific Death!Fic with Sam dying in the end due to cancer or terminal illness.

iii) Parts of stories involved, Sam shooting glass bottles while he was supported by Dean. Dean and his nephew had a strong bond. Sam's wife was writing in a publication.

I'm looking for a story titled "As Everything We Know Fades to Black" by engel182.
Summary: Meet Jensen Ackles; 22, disowned by his family when he fell in love with Christian Kane, and Jared Padalecki; 19, not so invincible freshman, busy partying with his high school boyfriend Chad. Their worlds violently crash together the night that Jensen and Chris are rushed to the hospital forcing Jared to reconsider if fighting for his own life against Leukemia again is worth the pain his family go through when they stand by him.

I don't think I've ever read this story, and it looks interesting. Does anyone know if this story is hosted elsewhere?

The first is J2 and kind of non-au in that they are actors. One of them is terminally ill and doesn't tell the other and goes to Australia, the other finds him there and they stay with each other. Obviously a super sad ending. Very sad fic and pretty famous.

Secondly, this one is Gen, and either this one or the last one is named after a U2 song or lyric, Dean is hunting with John and starts falling over, has bad headaches, turns out he has a brain tumour and I distinctly remember him asking John not to tell Sammy.

Lastly I think this one was Sam and Dean and my memory is a bit sketchier on this one, again I'm pretty sure it was Dean that became ill, I remember a scene by a lake, but not much more.

Finally there was a wip where Dean had CF he was pretty ill, not sure if he was hunting or whether it was slash or gen.

Any help greatly appreciated. These are all very old stories, more than 10 years old I would say.

Looked everywhere and can't find these; I THINK the first one was "I'm not Giving Up (I'm Just Giving In)," can't remember the second. In the first Sam has a brain tumor and Dean wants to heal him, but he's resigned. Sam finds a cabin they go to; at the end, he falls in the shower and loses his ability to speak.

In the second, Cas visits so Dean can leave the much sicker Sam to take a shower. Cas sits with him.

They MAY be by Beckalooby, but I can't remember, and also have searched her new journal and the old posts and have had no luck. Pleae help!

I've been looking for a specific fic for a couple months and can't find it.

It's on ao3, most likely mature, +20k, and takes place after season 11. Human!Cas. The author went "f it" to canon, and ( early season 12 spoilers ). Cas is missing, then Sam and Dean find a John Doe in a hospital matching Cas' description. They go pick him up in the hospital. Cas goes through a long check-up, and has a moment where he runs his hands through his hair in the bathroom. (this sounds strange, but trust me, it's important). They take him back to the Bunker, and everything is sunshine and rainbows for a few weeks.

Then Cas leaves the Bunker 'cause he has a job or something. Cas comes back, but keeps leaving without answering their calls that much. Dean is suspicious but Sam says there's nothing to worry about. Dean follows Cas one day, and turns out he's working at a Gas N' Sip and is trying to get money... for something.

Cas visits the Bunker every couple weeks, and each time he's wearing a new knitted hat. Due to a slip-up, Dean is jealous and thinks Cas is hooking up with a girl named Erin, but really ( MAJOR spoilers for fic )

It's a delicious slow burn, with a ton of angst, and I didn't get around to finishing it, so help finding it would be appreciated.

They spend a few months on the road trip & near the end of it it comes out that Dean has cancer or something & he's dying. I think he dies in Sammy's arms on a cliff overlooking the ocean.

Hi, this is my first time posting so apologies for anything wrong. I've been lurking here for several years and found many good stories from other's requests. Now I'm looking for two stories I read quite a while ago.

The first is set in the future, after both Sam and Dean are dead. Dean's in heaven... I remember lots of white. He cant remember Sam but often goes to the walls where he sees a savage Sam outside. His memory of Sam gradually come back and the angels can't believe it when he rejects Heaven for his brother outside.

The second is a short story with Sam only. He's in a motel room. The supernatural is not real... it's just his imagination, the result of a tumour. I think he dies, but I'm not certain.

Both these stories are quite old. I would love any in the same genre too. Happy with any pairing, or gen.

So, six years ago I signed up to be on the National Database for bone marrow donation, did my little cheek swab, signed the forms and that was that. I kind of forgot all about it, that was until a couple of days ago. I received a call informing me that I am a match and would I still be willing to go through with it?

So now I'm craving stories where either of the J's (or Sam and Dean) provides a life saving donation for the other (whether it be kidney, liver, platelet, or bone marrow etc.). Can include stories where they never knew each other before the transplant and then because of it they meet and then start a relationship or they can already know one another and this event just brings them closer. I'm a Jensen/Dean girl so perhaps he is the one that's ill and receives the donation but will take stories if it's the other way around too (Dean always has been my hero!):)

I didn't read this fic before but i saw someone highly recommending it and saying that it's a very good fic, but unfortunately it was posted on ff.net and now it's deleted. It was about Sam having Cancer and using Stanford as an excuse to run away and start his treatment without Dean knowing about his cancer. So, is there a chance that it is posted somewhere else, or maybe there is a .PDF version?? Or maybe you guys can guide me to other fics with similar plot?

I've been wracking my brain trying to remember where the two fics I'm looking for were even located and since Google fell down on the job, maybe you guys can help!

1) This fic goes AU after the fight in Sex and Violence (S4). Sam kills Lilith without raising Lucifer, and Dean finds him in a near catatonic state. Sam hears bits and pieces of what's going on around him and thinks Dean's going to kill him. He runs. A year later, Dean stumbles across him in a town where he works at the library while recovering from brain cancer - a side effect of the demon blood powers. I think the fic was on LJ, but not sure.

Hey everyone, I've been peeking through this comm and I'm hoping you can help me out..

1. So I read this fic ages ago, and now I can't seem to find it anywhere (It's been driving me CRAZYY). It's a J2 Rockstar AU, and from what I remember it was pretty long. It was partially in Misha's POV, and he was some sort of journalist/gossip columnist who later writes a nasty article about the J's that points out the issues in their relationship.

Jared was openly bisexual and a part of this hugely popular band that he'd started with his childhood friend (his name was Denny, I believe). Jensen was this crazy good photographer who ended up touring a bit with the band and taking their photos on the road, and he was close friends with/in love with Christian Kane (un-reciprocated). Also, I think Jensen might have been ill before meeting Jared (cancer, I believe) and he met Kane through the make a wish foundation or something similar. He and Jared grow closer and fall in love, but there are problems; Jared had a ton of daddy issues, a pretty bad attitude, is unfaithful and has a growing alcohol problem. Denny was a terrible influence on him, because he hated Jensen, and wanted to break them up. The fans started to dislike Jensen too, and seemed to view him as the band's "yoko ono". There was a happy ending though, and lots of broken relationships and hearts get repaired.

I read this one a while ago and wanted to reread it, but it's gotten lost in my abysmally-organised and massively huge bookmarks folder:

It starts with teen Jensen coming into hospital with not much hope and a brain tumour (he's got poor co-ordination/reflexes etc. because of it). In the ward he meets happy-go-lucky teen Jared who appears to have nothing wrong with him and is the only other patient.

As the fic progresses, Jensen learns that Jared got HIV/AIDS from his first/only boyfriend and is shocked by how much hope he still holds.

They start to fall in love and Jared persuades Jensen to go in for the surgery, even though it is quite risky. Jensen draws hope from Jared, goes through with it and pulls out the other side completely fine.

1. Pre-series, Sam unwittingly strikes a deal with YED in his dreams, which results in Dean getting seriously ill (cancer, I think). YED threathens Sam that Dean is going to die unless Sam promises to say "Yes" in the future, without telling Sam what he is actually agreeing to.

2. I haven't read this one, but this is how my lovely sparrow_lately described it for me: "THE ONE WHERE SAM AND DEAN AND CAS GO BACK TO A TOWN THEY LIVED IN FOR A WHILE AS KIDS AND IT'S HALF FLASH BACKS AND THERE WAS A WITCH AND DEAN HAD BEEN ABUSED BY HIS PE TEACHER." She also adds that, "I THINK IT'S CALLED THE LIGHT OF HOME," and, "There was a witch and the town was really quaint and lovely."

John is present in both fics.

So I am looking for an angst fest. I am looking for stories that deal with a sick sam. Like diagnosed with cancer or something short or long doesn't matter. The only important thing is no character death or no permanent disability Gen is preferred. Thank you for any and all help.

I don't remember much about this story at all, but Jared was sick, or had been sick, something like cancer I think. I believe it was set after Supernatural and Jared and Jensen were in a relationship, I'm almost positive, but I don't know how long. The only detail I really remember is that Jared and his parents had decided his money should go to his brother and sister if he died. I wasn't a huge part of the story though it was just mentioned. I know its very vague, but any help would be appreciated!

I just finished reading a two-parter by sylvia_locust, "Break My Body, Hold My Bones" (http://sylvia-locust.livejournal.com/3649.html) and "Building Jumper, Roof to Roof" (http://sylvia-locust.livejournal.com/8766.html).  It's about Sam discovering his has cancer and keeping it secret from Dean.

Ok, this was Dean had cancer and so they hole up for a bit and he gets chemo and mostly what I remember is the whole thing was just kind of matter-of-fact toned. Dean doesn't lose his hair and it mentions that except for check-ups having cancer isn't ever really brought up or mentioned again in their life. I remember Sam and Dean but I can't remember if there was John, so I'm assuming it was early S1. I read it on an LJ.

Cas falls (from heaven) and then his body falls apart because angels weren't meant to live in human bodies (or some reason like that.) He gets sick and the fic ends with him dying. At one point Dean asks why only Sam & Bobby (they are staying at Bobby's) can help him shower,etc and Cas says it's because he doesn't want Dean to see him like this. I think near the end he goes for a drive with Cas (even though Cas is too weak for it at this point) and they (finally?) kiss. Cas says at one point he doesn't regret falling. They may have shared a bed. Dean POV, I believe.

Three Specific fics:
a) Dean was previously cursed by a witch to become a panther but it missed hitting him directly; Sam explains this to someone by using a bag of flour or something, saying that even though it didn't hit you, some of the flour still managed to get onto you. Sam and Dean were hunting this ghoul that infects animals to get more food and the two of them split up to cover more ground and to kill the infected animals more quickly to prevent them from infecting other animals. Dean goes missing and Sam tries to find him only to find a panther (which is Dean). Dean thought that like last time that it would only be a couple of days before the curse lets up but he was still stuck as a panther. Sam and Dean travel to a person who could help them turn Dean back into human.
I think that the fic had a great amount of detail when it came to weapons.

b) Dean gets hit by a curse intended for Sam because the witch and Robo!Sam got intimate one time and she wanted to have another round, so she threw a curse that made the soul leave the body. However when Dean was hit by it, his soul did leave his body but his body went into a coma like state. So later at the motel room, Sam calls Cas for help. Castiel sees Dean's soul (which looks like a young boy) in the room and tells Sam. Castiel keeps Dean's soul company until he returns to his body.

c) Sam and Dean get turned into Gargoyles because John went after a nest(?) of them. John leaves them at a hunter friend's house because he could not handle the idea of his boys as supernatural beings that equate to them being evil.

General fics:
1) Fics where Dean is cursed into a dog? I guess werewolves/wolves count too.
2) Are there any other Gargoyle fics out there?
3) Fics where Dean mentally becomes like the supernatural being he was changed into? Or where he enjoys what he has become? (A great example is Dragon Emperor by Blonde Empress.)

Looking for a specific fic I read a while ago on AO3-it was an AU, Dean/Cas. The boys were in highschool, Dean and Sam had just moved to town at met Cas. What follows are a blissful few months filled with beaches, cherries, and Dean and Cas falling in love. Then, Sam's cancer makes an apperance. In the end, Sam dies, leaving behind only a cherry pit. Dean and Cas drift apart, and reunite years later, going to Sam's grave, where a single cherry tree now blooms. Anyone? This fic was awesome, and I've looked for it everywhere : )

2) Jared and Sandy were best friends and he agrees to father a child for her. Not long after the baby is born, Sandy dies of cancer.

I'm looking for a story where Sam has just finished chemo and beem released from the hospital after going into remission from throat cancer he got from second-hand smoke from Dean's smokng habit. Even though Dean's cigarette's gave Sam cancer, he still smokes, though he tries to do it behind Sam's back.

The opening scene has them in a diner and the waitress can't hear Sam's order cuz part of his larynx was removed. They go on their first case since Sam's diagnosis: a spirit who was a smoker that almost kills Dean during the salt-n-burn cuz he couldn't hear Sam's shout of warning to Dean. At the end of the story Dean buys Sam a safety whistle.

I'm almost positive it's a Wincest story cuz it's basically all I read, but I can't remember if it's Est Relationship or First-Time or what. The emotional impact on Dean of Sam's cancer was more central to the story than any sex, IIRC. There's also quite a bit about Sam's rehab and the therapy Dean still has to help him do every day.

Hi guys, so moviegeek03 watched 50/50 the other week and reccomended it to me like whoa, and finally I found it in HMV today and right now, this would be the...third time I'm watching it. As usual with an amazing story, my first thought is always, "Dude...I wonder what a J2 version of this would be like..." So, yeah, that's what happened here. So, I need a Jared/Jensen retelling of the 50/50, STAT! (And I still find it funny how many times they say that on hospital dramas yet I've never heard an actual real doctor say STAT in my life.)

2) J2 or Wincest fics with mpreg!Sam where something goes wrong - I'd rather that its something that threatens Sam/Jared more than the baby (like, the baby's delivered but there's some complications) and Dean/Jensen are worried and protective perhaps even feeling a little bit guilty (I'd love if they didn't want to see the baby until they knew that Sam/Jared was going to be alright. . However,  I will also accept any fics where both Sam/Jared and the baby are in danger (even miscarriage fics).

Hi! I have one specific and one general request;

1. This one's specific and I've looked everywhere for it! I'm pretty sure it's on FF.Net somewhere. The boys are teens and Sam is walking from school back to the motel, he has his headphones in and just outside the motel he's hit by a car. Dean is inside (packing?) and hears the crash, goes out and sees that it's Sam. That's all I have, sorry :/ And anyone got any others where Sam is seriously hurt in a car accident?

Hi, I'm looking for a link to a fic. I don't remember the name of the person who wrote it but the fic had something to do with Jensen and Jared being a relationship (married maybe). They had two sons, I think (not mpreg) and Jared fell ill (Cancer? something really serious and life threatening). Most of it is a blur but I do remember Drew Fuller, being like, um, Jared's caretaker (or doctor) and he was kind of hitting on Jared. And Jared give in and they, well I don't think they have sex, but they probably kissed or something and one day while Drew was being all flirty, Jensen stumbled upon them and loads of possessive jealous and angst. Oh and Jensen is a cop, Sheriff maybe??

Well after quite a night with my little brother (he's diabetic, his blood sugar dropped to severely low levels, suddenly lost coherency, then nearly lost consciousness- essentially made me a nervous wreck) I'm looking for some fics where Dean has diabetes, epilepsy, cancer, heck even asthma! Anything where something he has causes a medically life threatening event. Bonus if Sam is the one taking care of him/helping him!

Forgive me if none of that made sense, my brain is still kinda fried from all the panic it went through and I'm simply looking for something to read to calm me down a bit.

Are there any J2 fics out there about one of the boys getting cancer or some other serious illness and the other one having to take care of him through it? Or maybe they meet in the hospital with one being very sick or something? or meet after one of them is already ill ? NO DEATHFICS!!!!  (i've already read As Everything We Know Fades to Black)

Hey guys. So my little sister recently got super sick and had to have a spinal tap done and she said it was one of the most painful things she's ever done, but it's all made us super clingy and protective of her since. She thinks it's funny how close we wanna keep her, but just rolls her eyes and let's us do it. ;D Anyway, it's made me wonder if there were any fics out there with Wee!Sam getting some procedure done, spinal tap, shots, just embarrassing check ups, something like that, where Dean and John, or whoever bravely stand by or hold him, comfort him, etc. Maybe Sam has cancer and has to have chemo, or maybe he's mistreated by doctors...I fricken love Protective!Dean, can't help it. XD And Sam can be older if that exists, I just figured if there were any, it would be Weechesters. ;D And any kind of story works, J2, wincest, hurt/comfort obviously, horror, schmoop, I'm up for anything. Thanks! ;)
