Y'all have any recommendations for stories based on the legend of Robin Hood? I've seen a couple of humorous ones (Men in Tights), but I'm looking for something a little more serious - more mystical. Think the British TV series Robin of Sherwood starring Michael Praed and later Jason Connery.

So, Hi! I'm looking for a fic I read some years ago: Dean(?) discovers a hidden trapdoor in the Bunker basement and when he opens it Merman Sam comes through.... Quite a long fic that ends with Dean going under water to live with Sam and getting changed too. They have a kid (hatched from an egg, I believe) and there's a scene where they visit the hatchery to check on their egg's progress (I think?)
Anyway, if this jogs anyone's memory please, PLEASE let me know! It's positively haunting me!!

1. Jensen is prince and imprinted with a dragon. His dragon has a mate that was still inside its shell and would only come out off it when imprinted with her riders. Eveybody expected to be with a pricess but when Jared, a communer, touches it, he imprints. Everybody was shook because its was the first time it happened. Jensen is really mean to Jared in the begining. Then they figured that Jared is the last from a dead royal family or something like that and J2 get together in the end. 2. Any j2 as dragon riders?

Looking for a fic whereby Jensen is the only one in his family who has magic and worked hard to get into a magic school (with the disapproval of his parents, who had a strong distaste for magic).

Jared on the other hand, was born into a magical family and grew up with it.

Cue them being allocated as roommates and Jensen accidentally wearing Jared's hoodie, thinking it's his own, and uses the strand of hair from the hoodie in potions class. They form this weird bond where they can feel each other's emotions till it wears off and Jensen breaking down cause of the overwhelming emotions, while Jared knew how to create some some of shield to lessen the feels.

I'm looking for the name of a fic I read awhile back.

It was a historical fic. Jared was an adventurer and he met Jensen who was fleeing from JDM. Jared and Jensen start adventuring together. They kill a mean dragon and a village gives them gifts in thanks. And one scene has Adrianne as a tentacled water monster that almost kills Jared. Eventaully Jared and Jensen meet JDM again and it turns out that Jensen is a theif and JDM was his parter.

Looking for a fic where a teenager (or possibly more than one) has been taken by the Fae, and Dean and Castiel go after them because there is a chance Cas can use being an angel to get the teenager back if they haven't eaten/drunk anything yet. But Dean and Cas have to pretend to be a couple while they are in the faerie kingdom, and there is a bit where they are given outfits with jewels and flower accessories - the first night the colours are just about Cas being an angel, but after that Dean gets outfits that match his colouring. By the end, the pretend relationship is obviously a real one, but I can't remember much else.

Any suggestions?

I'm looking for four different things:
1. A specific Destiel fic where Cas was a witch, so was Gabriel I think, and Dean was his familiar(I think he could turn into an animal), the story is about how they meet, and there's a scene where John shows up, possibly at Bobby's when Cas is trying to heal Dean from something, and attempts to shoot Cas and/or Dean I think. Gabriel protects them I believe. Dean either didn't know he was a familiar or had been taught witches were evil or something. Thanks!
2. A general destiel fic search where Dean has a chronic illness or disability of any form, and Cas is his doctor and/or caregiver.
3. A specific destiel fic from a years back, set after Cas raises Dean from hell-in this story, Dean became a demon in hell, he had horns and a twisted appearance, and Cas had to take him somewhere for a long time to help him heal, keep him chained up because he kept trying to attack Cas. I think the horns fell off eventually or something.
4. Any fics where Chuck is a father figure to any of the boys, rescues the boys from being abused, or is in anyway remotely paternal to Dean, Cas, or Sam.

Alright, so I've just updated my movie remake comm spnremakes and it made me want to start another project.  So, i'm putting together a master list of all the amazing science fiction stories that our fandom has created. Apocalypse, Alternatre Histories, Zombies, Superheros/Powered up boys, time travel, Aliens... whatever fits in the sci-fi realm.   I've gone through every list, comm, and author that I know writes sci-fi but I don't want to miss anything!  So, please rec me any and all sci fi!!  Any pairing, SPN or RPF, any rating!  If you have a great rec list, or know an author who writes a lot of sci-fi, lead me their way!!   There can be crossovers, but the story needs to have one of the SPN/RP characters as a main character.

I'm looking for a story where JA, who is a dragon, was stolen as an egg due to a war or invasion of his homeland. He now guards a specific city-state but isn't like most other fire dragons and has always wondered why he was different. Jared shows up and they discover that Jensen is a storm or lightning dragon or something like that and eventually Jared goes off to try to find Jensen's parents for him. It was a great story, might have been a big bang, and I would love to read it again.

I would appreciate recs for any fiction which has deep magic or serious wizardry at the heart of the story - one or both boys as mages or wizards, or hunters of such. I've found several lighthearted, Harry Potter-esque stories, boys being turned into various creatures, etc - these are NOT what I'm looking for.
(I don't consider angels or hell's demons as magical, since they are integral to canon.)

Given the Supernatural aspect, seems like there might be more dangerous, life-altering magic in the tales. Maybe I've missed something? Thanks for any enlightenment!

I'm looking for a J2 retelling of 'The Fisher King'. As far as I can remember Jensen was a vain actor and Jared was a homeless guy who turned out was quite an intelligent teacher or something similar. Jared was called Tristan or something else for a fair part of the story and was protecting 'the grail'. It turns out the grail is a dog at the animal shelter that Jared volunteers at.

At some point he saves Jensen's life and is naked!

Hi,this is so silly,but several days ago I read a wonderful fix were the Js were just dragons fully time and lived in a dragon village. The was a.competition to see who would be Jensen' s mate and even though he was insecure Jared competed anyway. My computer closed the tab and I've been 3 days looking for it and don't see it in the recs or tags.here but have constrained distracted by all the.other wonderful recs. I would very much like to find a fic that I read about 5 or 6 years ago. At that time it was a WIP with only three or so chapters posted. I remember it as J2 AU, but it's possible that it was Sam/Dean. I don't remember the rating.

The story opens with Jared walking down a dirt road (he possibly pauses at a crossroads). He collapses from exhaustion. His parents/mother had died and he was trying to make his way to a town but was close to giving up. Jensen comes by on horseback and (I think) saves him from being eaten by something. Jensen is the son of someone important (a king, maybe, who lives elsewhere). Jared befriends a monk/hermit (Jim Beaver?) who came into town. It is revealed that the hermit was Jensen's uncle, who had abdicated in favour of Jensen's father. Jensen was surprised by this and found out just before he had to leave to defend the castle/fort/town from something.

I remember it being sort of medieval/post-apocalyptic, with dragons mentioned but not yet seen (or it's possible I just felt there should be dragons . . . I'm not too clear on that.) For some reason it's tied in my memory to the movie Reign of Fire, but I can't remember why. At the time, the journal had white text on a black background, which I found a bit harsh to read.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Before I got around to bookmarking it, my computer crashed. I remember thinking that I would never forget the name of the author, and I stupidly didn't write it down. *facepalm* Full disclosure: I read this late at night, when I was sick with the flu and had a mild fever. But I'm sure that I didn't imagine it! (Well, mostly sure.)

I searched for it here a couple years ago and received links to various collections, but still had no luck. This will be my last search before I give up on it and chalk the whole thing up to a really interesting sickness-induced hallucination. 

I asked for this type of fics before but I didn't get any recs so, I'm going to post it again. I am looking for fics in which a pining Jensen is trying to win Jared's heart. I want Jensen to take Jared out on dates or trying to impress him - generally Jensen trying to court Jared and being a romantic. Bonus points if it is non-au but au fics are just as amazing.
Alternatively, it could be Jensen trying to win Jared back after he screwed up the relationship somehow. Cheating on Jensen's part would be a major plus.

I want fics in which Jared is hurt in some way - an accident on set, a car crash, a sexual assault or a serious illness or something. And Jensen takes care of him while constantly worrying about Jared's health and basically mother-henning him. Eventual J2 would be great, too!

I am looking for good Jensen/Jared period drama fics. They can be anything from historical to fantasy.

Bottom!Jared only, please. Also, please warn me if there is any mention of homophobia in your recs. It is kinda a trigger of mine but I still read them. I just need a warning. All kinks and self-recs are welcome.

Hello! I haven't posted a request myself here before, but since I feel like I've been pretty good at answering other people's recs on here I thought I'd give it a go myself :) There are four (really more, but right now this is it :P) types of fic that I look for:

1. Is there any Captain America fusion fic out there with Dean in the role as Steve Rogers? This is really the only type I'm interested in, I've seen many versions with Cas as the captain, but that 's really not what I'm looking for. Alternatively any type of fic where Dean goes from zero to hero is gold in my book - especially if this involves some kind of physical transformation!

2. I've always been a huge fan of the Billy Elliot movie and musical and thinking about it a couple of days ago the story is perfect for a destiel-fusion with Castiel as Michael and Dean as Billy (they even have the same colouring!). So if anything like this exists out there I will be eternally grateful to the author who wrote it and the kind person who found it for me! (I know Billy Elliot isn't very big in the fanfiction world..)

3. Any fic where Dean discovers that he's really a prince, a chosen one in a fantasy!AU or rich or anything like that. Something that would entail a big change in his lifestyle, maybe he would need to undergo training, deal with the press or be expected to act differently. Anything that involves major lifestyle-changes really!

4. Any good Narnia/SPN-fusions/crossovers. I think I've exhausted anything that exists on ao3 and ff.net, but I might have missed some really good ones, and I'm also hoping there are some on LJ or tumblr floating around, that I haven't found.

As for pairings I don't really have any OTP and am fine with both het and slash, though I do prefer to not read wincest, if possible (I'll read it because if not I'll miss SO many good fics, but then I always have to imagine them not being brothers and it generally makes fic slightly less enjoyable for me). The most important part for me is really that it's Dean-centirc. Thanks in advance to anyone that answer my requests! :)

I can't remember how I stumbled across my first request, or why I appear to have not saved it, but now looking for it here has lead to a second request.

1) It was a WIP , not sure if it was abandoned or has since been updated, or not updated yet. In it there were special soliders who take on wolves as partners to make themselves stronger and give them their abilities. The wolf has to pick the person and Jensen was chosen by a female wolf.Last I read the Js hadn't even met yet in the fic. I hope its not abandoned cause it was really good already, and I'm hoping there is more to read now.

2) This is so silly, but while I was looking for that on here I thought I saw a post that mentioned a J2 story about Jared being an omega who nobody wanted cause there was something wrong with his body and he didn't like sex or couldn't have sex because of it? And Jensen somehow met him & picked him anyway and was willing to work him thru it. I thought I saved it, but can't find it, and re-searched thru the knotting kink and the alpha/beta/omega tag on here and CANNOT find it again! Frustrated doesn't even begin to cover how I feel right now.

So if some one can help me find these, or heck, send me the link for the post I found the second one on, I'd be eternally greatful and give you my first born cyber baby. Please please please help!!!

Actually living as animals, not like shapeshifters or werewolves or whatever.  I just finished reading cloudyjenn's Wolf 'Verse and The One Where They're Squirrels(We Regret Nothing) by brokentoy and triedunture and would love more along those lines. Hello all, long time lurker, first time poster, hope I get everything right. I'm looking for a fic I'm pretty sure I found on livejournal, but I can't seem to locate it now.  It was j2  Jared was cheiftan of a small nomadic tribe, who gets taken over buy Jensen's much larger tribe after losing at hand to hand combat.  Jared only wants his people to be safe, and have food and shelter and they are promised that from Jensen.  At one point they are running from a wildfire, and Jared saves Jensen's sister, and he's later kidnapped, but I can't remember by who.  It has a happy ending, and I that's really all I remember.  Hope that this sounds familiar to someone.

I know that the chapters were split into the seasons? Either Jensen or Dean was in Gerda's place. Other than that I can't remember if it was Cas/Misha or Jared/Sam as Kai. It was a long fic as well.

Admittedly even who was in Gerda's place is a bit spotty but I'm almost sure it was Jensen/Dean.

Long time lurker & this the 1st time I've posted here, so apologies in advance if I've got something wrong.

I'm looking for a fic where it starts off at sea in the past, with Jensen almost drowning & being saved with an amulet. In present day Jensen is a college professor/researcher & still has an amulet or part of one. He goes on an under water expedition with Steve Carlson & others to find a lost civilisation. They find the lost people - Jared is a mute warrior & (I think) the son of the King. Christian Kane is the King's right hand man & has been taken over by his own wizardly ancestor to usurp the King. Jensen turns out to be part of the civilisation.

The artwork features Jared, Jensen & Christian with a lot of ethnic tattoos.

This driving me nuts, as I've previously read it & thought I had it bookmarked. Any help would be fantastic!

What's the one that deals with 'Craft' and it's always capitalised. JDM was a professor. And it varies from low level mind reading to way advanced stuff. And (unless I'm mixing two fics up) Jensen (I think) is 'Null' or 'Blank' and doesn't have any magic.

I think the title might have something to do with lorem ipsum (the 'nonsense' Latin that's used to 'fill space' when you're trying out different fonts). Or the 'lorem ipsum' actually means something and is used in 'Crafting' for spells or something.

If I am mixing 2 up can y'all link me to both?

3. Cas trying to understand why everyone thinks there's something going on between him and Dean. (or vice-versa)

4. Mulan-fusion destiel? I've read one from the dc_everafter comm, where dean is mulan and Gabe helps him pretend he's an angel (taking the role of Mushu obviously). But i was hoping there were more?

5.Fantasy Destiel.

6. Possessive Dean or Cas? Doesn't need to lead to porn. Because i was looking for fluff but i don't ind anything.

What I remember about this story is pretty vague. It was a J2 au where Jared and Jensen were being trained in some sort of institute/school/military facility. Somehow they'd bonded (psychically, soul-wise, whatever) and caused this huge explosion. Everyone tries to figure out what it was, and finds out that Jared and Jensen are exponentially more powerful, but even MORE powerful if they are close or touching.

I think I remember one of the boys trying to more this huge block with their power.

I've looked through a few pages of the powers tag and found nothing, so I hope I haven't made this all up in my head. :)

I just finished the first book of the Temeraire series, and GAH.

I need some dragon!fic. Preferably Jared/Jensen, but Sam/Dean will also be appreciated (with love!). Fusions/crossovers with the universe of Temeraire are not required, but I would love you forever if you could find some for me.

I have previously read much of the dragon!fic in the SPN/RPS fandom, including but not limited to all the wonderfulness written by morrezela, highermagic, bewaretheides15, setissma, sinestrated, aramuin (Queensguard!), leonidaslion and all that has been recced in spnnightcrawler, which was quite handy. :D (Assume that I've read any and all Pern crossover/fusion fic, okay? I'm a little obsessive. *facepalm*)

Looking for a fic where Jensen is a genie. Or at least I think he's a genie...

Can't really remember much, but what I do remember was that Jared was the "bottle holder" and somehow the bottle gets stolen. Somewhere along the way Jensen starts to lose his magic and if he loses all of it it will kill him. One of the Samantha's is also in this and she helps Jared find the magic dust that Jensen needs. They have to go through challenges that can kill them along the way. The other thing I remember is that it was a long fic, 10K+-ish

It's possible that I'm smashing 2 different fics together, but if anyone can help with this...

I'm looking for a fic I read a while ago. I think Jared was an actor or PA and Jensen was either his co-star or director. Jensen has powers magical or other wise but keeps it secret. Danneel is his cousin i think. Jared finds out about the power and ends up having a problem of sorts with it. Danneel get mad at Jared and tells him that Jensen is on "trial" for Jared finding out and now has to fight to keep them although there is really is no trial.

I once read a fic where Jensen was a fairy (or possibly some other supernatural creature, but I'm pretty sure he was a fairy) who comes to this dimension on a kind of cultural exchange program. Jared's mom makes him serve as Jensen's tour guide, kind of, but then she gets mad because Jared corrupts him with soda and TV and porn, etc...

I'd rather have stories where J2/Sam and Dean being the characters from the anime instead of them meeting the characters from the anime. NC-17 would be AWESOME but I'll seriously take anything :). Oh! And I'd just LOVE if the animes were shows like Inu Yasha, Bleach, Naruto, Death Note, or Full Metal Alchemist. These are the animes that I'm most familiar with and enjoy, but like I said, I'll take just about anything right now :). No non-con or WIP fics please. Thanks!
