Read this years ago - long, plotty. Jared and Gen new to small town. Meet Jensen and Danneel at block party? Jensen is a photographer, gay, living kind of in the closet with Danneel (excellent relationship) to help raise their child (son?). Jared is a schoolteacher. He eventually realized his attraction to Jensen - acts on it when he and Jensen's friends go with him for his occasional foray to another town to a gay bar. They fall in love and I think Jared may be deciding to leave Gen but then Gen says she's pregnant. Also Danneel and Tom want to be married. Jensen decides he has to move away - goes to Los Angeles. He meets a man who is understanding about Jensen's love for Jared, they eventually marry. Takes a few years but there is a happy ending. I would love to read this again!

More detail: Jared discovers that Jensen is gay when he finds romantic/adult? photos of men in his rooms - he lives downstairs/separately in his house with Danneel. Turns out Jared's sister has disappeared on the streets, become a hooker taken advantage of by a photographer initially. Jared is horrified to think Jensen is that way too, Jensen eventually explains he's helping out these men by not being that way - and Jared finds out Jensen is gay. Much later, after Jensen has moved and gotten married, Jared asks Jensen to come take family pictures for the Padaleckis - something they haven't done since his sister disappeared. When Jared's brother (mother?) sees one of the photos Jensen took of Jared - just laughing, not knowing he's being photographed - they say "he really loves you."

I would very much like to find a fic that I read about 5 or 6 years ago. At that time it was a WIP with only three or so chapters posted. I remember it as J2 AU, but it's possible that it was Sam/Dean. I don't remember the rating.

The story opens with Jared walking down a dirt road (he possibly pauses at a crossroads). He collapses from exhaustion. His parents/mother had died and he was trying to make his way to a town but was close to giving up. Jensen comes by on horseback and (I think) saves him from being eaten by something. Jensen is the son of someone important (a king, maybe, who lives elsewhere). Jared befriends a monk/hermit (Jim Beaver?) who came into town. It is revealed that the hermit was Jensen's uncle, who had abdicated in favour of Jensen's father. Jensen was surprised by this and found out just before he had to leave to defend the castle/fort/town from something.

I remember it being sort of medieval/post-apocalyptic, with dragons mentioned but not yet seen (or it's possible I just felt there should be dragons . . . I'm not too clear on that.) For some reason it's tied in my memory to the movie Reign of Fire, but I can't remember why. At the time, the journal had white text on a black background, which I found a bit harsh to read.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Before I got around to bookmarking it, my computer crashed. I remember thinking that I would never forget the name of the author, and I stupidly didn't write it down. *facepalm* Full disclosure: I read this late at night, when I was sick with the flu and had a mild fever. But I'm sure that I didn't imagine it! (Well, mostly sure.)

I searched for it here a couple years ago and received links to various collections, but still had no luck. This will be my last search before I give up on it and chalk the whole thing up to a really interesting sickness-induced hallucination. 

It's an amazing story, in which Jared and Jensen meet in a small village because they were both sent away from their families because they're gay. But they both receive letters to by candidate to become dragonriders (4 years apart) in separate ennemy countries  and we follow their life, hardship and training. I haven't read further than chapter 8, of course, I'm hoping someone will be able to help.

As the chapters are quite long, missing one means missing a huge part of the story and, as I really like it, I was really hoping that someone had the PDF and could send it to me ?

Hi all, I recently got into RPF and really need help parsing through the mountains of existing fic. I love Jensen stories (preferably when he's an adult, not a minor), and I'm specifically looking for stories where:

1.  There's a big (4+ish) group of RPs who are or become an adopted/surrogate family to Jensen, and they're protective of him
2.  In a similar vein, Jensen is a stranger who comes to be adopted/respected by a community

- I'm particularly attached to Jared, Jeff, Samantha, Jim, Misha, Chris, Steve, Tom, and/or Mike as the surrogate "family"
- Gen or slash (J2 or multiples with J2 is fine)
- I'd prefer AUs (i.e. they're not actors)
- Longer the better

In my dozen or so years of reading fan fiction I've run across only a few stories (a Star Trek Voyager, a Star Wars, and I think an X-Files) where the character somehow crosses the 'fourth wall' and confronts the person who plays him, or the character suddenly finds himself on the set of the show/movie. I thing it was something about letting the actor know the real story or how he was getting the 'character's' personality wrong. I'd love to see any such story, crossing the Supernatural set with the Supernatural world; say, JDM finding John W waiting for him in his dressing room one evening after a day of filming. I've tagged five person/character pairings put any character/actor would do.

One idea comes to mind (which I would probably write if I had any talent) is the aftermath of the scene where Dean discovers fan fiction and Sam has to explain 'slash' to him. What if J & J were confronted by S & D later explaining that they were indeed (or were not, whichever) lovers.

I know I'm going to feel like a moron when these are found, because I should remember them. *facepalm*

Anyway. One fic is from Misha's POV. There's a scene at the end where J2 are exhausted and Jim Beaver says something to Misha about not letting the boys know how obvious they are when they're tired.

Second fic, Misha gives Jensen a frog (not a real one) and also quotes "Joy to the World" by Three Dog Night at him. (Jeremiah was a bullfrog, was a good friend of mine... joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea, joy to you and me). It confuses Jensen.

I'm fairly new to the Supernatural & J2 rps fandom, but I love reading fanfiction and I've been browsing this community for a bit, I love how you guys all work together and help everybody.
I'm here with a request (my first post ever in LJ because I'm normally a lurker),
I'm looking for a fic where Jared is kidnapped by a Jensen look-a-like, Jensen, Chad and Chris try to find him,  I think Misha and Jim have to come and save Jared when they find him but they have to be dressed as Catiel and Bobby because the person thinks Jared is Sam? I hope I'm not confusing two fics together!

and another one is where Jensen is kidnapped and he's being held underground in a coffin or something like it but the police can't find him, Jensen has a cell phone with him and he talks to Jared and his parents I believe to say goodbye.

Ok guys I have a specific request this time. It was an AU and it was years after supernatural I remember Jensen married Danneel and still thinks about what could have been with Jared because they obviously had a relationship prior. They are all brought together by the death of Jim beaver and I remember it's really awkward between them but there friends try to set them back up together. I don't remember anything else because I never got to finish it :( I hope someone can find it. Thanks

I saw this story on the Padackles board but can't seem to find it now. It deals with Jared being kidnapped by an obsessed fan that looks like Jensen(I think that's right). Misha, Jim and I think Chris and Steve are in the story.I think it takes place either during the 4th or 5th season.

So I just saw a photo of Jim Beaver  wearing a t-shirt saying "I read Bobby/John". Which is awesome, and now I also want to read Bobby/John. There are a few in the tags, but are there any others? Bobby/Ellen would also be acceptable.

I'm looking for a few fics, searched the tags and no joy!

1) A recent-ish WIP where Jared was kidnapped from the a con by someone who believed he was Dean and Jared was Sam. It was 'Dean's' job to purge Sam of evil, the purging including some pretty nasty torture :(
It was almost complete the last time I read it. Jensen, Chad, Chris and Steve were all involved looking for him and eventually the police used Jim Beaver posing as Bobby to go in to 'help' the deluded Dean.

2) Jared is once again kidnapped/enslaved. Jensen is in the FBI/CIA currently undercover with some sort of crime lord who has a human trafficking ring. He's quite high up in the pecking order. When Jared appears, Jensen pretends to 'want' him and takes him home, but continues the ruse that he isn't a good huy. This too was a WIP and is possibly 2 fics mixed up?

3) Another kidnapped Jared! This one has another human trafficking ring, but this time I think it's Chris who spots Jared at some sort of auction. I can't remember if they already knew each other and were trying to find him. Chris again was possibly some sort of undercover law inforcement.

4) This has been asked for before and for the life of me I can't find it. Jared and Jensen meet online I think. Jensen is possibly an artist. They agree to meet, but Jensen only agrees if Jared is permanently blindfolded during their dates.

Any ideas?
