The first is J2 and kind of non-au in that they are actors. One of them is terminally ill and doesn't tell the other and goes to Australia, the other finds him there and they stay with each other. Obviously a super sad ending. Very sad fic and pretty famous.

Secondly, this one is Gen, and either this one or the last one is named after a U2 song or lyric, Dean is hunting with John and starts falling over, has bad headaches, turns out he has a brain tumour and I distinctly remember him asking John not to tell Sammy.

Lastly I think this one was Sam and Dean and my memory is a bit sketchier on this one, again I'm pretty sure it was Dean that became ill, I remember a scene by a lake, but not much more.

Finally there was a wip where Dean had CF he was pretty ill, not sure if he was hunting or whether it was slash or gen.

Any help greatly appreciated. These are all very old stories, more than 10 years old I would say.

I'm looking for a specific fanfiction that I remember reading a long time ago.

It's AU, Gen, and several chapters long.

Sam had gotten out of the hunting life (I beleive he went to Stanford), had a wife (Jess?), and kid(s) (Not sure how many, though I remember there was a little girl). Dean comes to live with him and his family after getting himself hurt during a hunt by himself and having to use a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

Dean had a strong relationship with his niece, and John was not mentioned in the story.

Something happens to Dean's spine and he has to go to the hospital, and in the end he dies.

I also remember there being something about drums, I think. Dean's niece/nephew wanted a drum set and it was revealed after he died that Dean had bought the set.

I'm looking for stories where Dean dies alone. It can be on a hunt, an overdose, a car wreck. During Stanford Era when John had sent Dean off on his own to hunt, or any time when Dean and Sam had separated later. This story was about Dean being on his own because he and Sam had argued and Dean was in a bad place, Dean met other hunters, an older man and his niece, they fell in love and eventually went back to Sam and the bunker I think. There were some pretty powerful demon around as well, a male and 2 females I think. Dean becomes a demon, can't remember why and he is really nasty,
has lots of woman and attempts to kill Sam and his girlfriend. I remember that Sam has feelings for Dean's girlfriend as well, from when Dean was a demon and they spent a lot of time together. His girlfriend sells her soul to help him. They have a battle near the end with the male demon and Sam and Dean die and the girlfriend goes to hell, but I think Crowley helps her get out and up to Heaven. Jensen and Jared are teens and Jared has moved around a lot because his dad is in the military. Jared's dad's leg is injured so the family moves to this really small town while he recovers and Jared meets Jensen there. Jensen's older brother died so Jensen's uncle moved in to help out the family. One day, Jensen is hurt and crying and Jared assumes it is Jensen's father who abuses him. However, at the end of the story, it's revealed that it was Jensen's uncle who was abusing him and it's implied that the uncle killed Jensen.

I'm looking for a story I read a long time ago. what I can remember about this fic is that there was a school shooting and dean was killed in it. He was trying to talk down the shooter and I think that the shooter accidently killed him. I think that the shooter felt bad about killing dean because dean was one of the few people that was nice to him. I'm not sure if he turned himself in or if he killed himself. I do know that after dean dies sam, when he is in class,I don't remember if it was in Stanford or high school but I know that in the class they talked about the shooting and brought up dean and his part in it and how he saved people I think and sam was sitting in the class and i think that people knew dean was his brother.
That's all I remember about it and it was written nicely It made me cry. I have tried searching for it in ao3 and fanfic.net but I don't remember which one it was in.

I read this AU Destiel fic a long time ago where Dean is depressed and sometimes it gets very bad. Sam is with Jess and they try to help him. Then he meets Cas and they get together. But Dean has an episode of extreme depression and ends up killing himself, thinking Cas would be better off not having to deal with him. I think he jumps out window in front of Cas? Cas then later also kills himself.

Yeah, very tragic ending. But if anyone can help me find it that would be great!

Hi, hoping you can help me find some fics i read a while ago on ao3 and cant seem to find again

The first one is a one shot. An angel tries to kill Dean but Castiel steps in front of him. Sam and Dean think that Castiel isn't really dead as there are no wing impressions on the ground. When dean takes a shower he finds the wings on his skin as Castiel had his wings wrapped around him when he died.

The second is an alpha/beta/omega au.
Castiel is an omega and recently found out he's pregnant. He's scared Alpha Dean wont want the pup so Benny offers to look after him and the pup if Dean doesn't want to be involved. Benny had previously lost a mate and pup.
Dean finds out about pregnancy and assumes Cas is leaving him as he thinks he wont be a good father. Cas and Dean talk it out and decide to raise the pup together.

There is also a scene where Lisa who is Deans ex sends them baby clothes and it upsets Cas as it has her scent on them. Dean realizes and gets rid of them.

Im looking for a fic where Dean comes to see Sam at Stanford & insists that he comes on a roadtrip with him, not hunting, just a roadtrip, so they can spend some time together. They spend a few months on the road trip & near the end of it it comes out that Dean has cancer or something & he's dying. I think he dies in Sammy's arms on a cliff overlooking the ocean.

I for one love the episodes when Dean had the Mark Of Cain. Sam was really trying to get rid of it, and Dean was just kinda excepting it. I'm looking for some episodes that base off what Crowley had told Dean about how the mark would make him unwell, and eventually kill him if he doesn't kill in time.
I'd prefer it if Sam is unaware of this effect of the mark, and finds out some reason after Dean collapses, or just gets really sick.
Please no smut, or wincest, or really any kind of relationship besides you know, Sam and Dean's awesome brother bond. Of course I welcome any self recs, and I don't really care how long or short the story is.
I don't mind deathfics, just as long as it's kinda well written, as some deathfics are kinda rushed or something, you know?

I remember Jared is flirty at first and Jensen is kind of grumpy, and i know sometime along the way jensen gets kidnapped and his back is really messed up, then they both go to hawaii or something?? i also know this is a death!fic and jensen is shot and then jared kills himself with a bomb or something.

Hello! I'm looking for a specific fanfiction that I just can't find anywhere! I think it's based around 9x13 The Purge, after Dean and Sam have their fight, but I can't say for sure. Sam leaves the bunker, and Dean is left heartbroken. Sam goes back to college, gets married, haves a kid I think, and he calls Dean once a month or so. That was until Dean smashed his phone. Cas isn't in this story, and in the end Dean does something terrible, and Sam doesn't find out until 4 months later or something? It could possibly be a one!shot, but I'm not sure. The whole story describes Dean's depression and is very well written. Thanks in advance!

I've been searching for quite a while for all three of these fics.

1. This fic is kind of a redo of the striga episode where in this Sam is pregnant but he doesn't know until the striga attacks him and attacks the baby and he ends up having a miscarriage.FOUND!

2. This fic reminded me of The Crow because Sam and Dean were in a restaurant that ended up getting robbed and they both were both shot and 'killed'. Dean comes back and goes after the people that were involved and tries to find Sam. I remember in this one Sam was shot in the head up against a display case.

3. This story involved Dean and his flashbacks from hell. He creates a rack out of Sam's bed frame and tortures him. Sam is able to escape and stays with Bobby. It's a long time before he feels comfortable being around Dean.

This is a fic I read ages ago:
It started with Sam having to choose between John and Dean and John was the one that ended up dead. Dean end up pretty "pissed" at Sam(John aand Dean were shouting why Sam should let the other one live).
They they end up going on a hunt about a mysterios sickness. Sam is feeling realy guilty and starts to hallucinate, wich he thinks because how bad he feels about his dad. Dean has been previously really unsupportive and they later find out that Sam has the sickness.

This is bugging the heck out of me. I can't seem to find the right tags to locate it.
It was a story of a young (20 something) J2 (maybe, possibly Sam/Dean AU, but I think it was J2) I seem to remember Jensen being the next best thing to homeless and he starts hanging around with Jared. Jensen has been horribly scarred in a fire and is very self-conscious. I also seem to remember Jared being kind of cruel or oblivious. Jensen thinks he's finally found something, but Jared may announce at some point that he's interested in someone else. Or I might be misremembering it.

The story ends with Jensen rushing to catch the bus and is so distracted he is struck and killed.

Does this ring any bells with anyone? It was a SPN_J2 Big Bang three or four years ago.

I'm looking for a fic I read a while ago, what I remember is it's an au of the apocalypse. Team free will along with Gabriel decide the only chance they have to beat Lucifer is for Dean to let Cas use his body as a vessel, but when they're fighting Lucifer he rips Cas out of Dean but is killed by Gabriel inside of Sam. Afterwards Dean is super depressed and almost comatose for awhile, but manages to start pulling himself together. At one point Dean stumbles across Cas's empty vessel and breaks down. Cas comes back to life at the end. The pairings were destiel and possibly sabriel. I'm pretty sure I read it on ao3 and it's been driving me nuts hopefully someone can help.

Hi, this is my first time posting so apologies for anything wrong. I've been lurking here for several years and found many good stories from other's requests. Now I'm looking for two stories I read quite a while ago.

The first is set in the future, after both Sam and Dean are dead. Dean's in heaven... I remember lots of white. He cant remember Sam but often goes to the walls where he sees a savage Sam outside. His memory of Sam gradually come back and the angels can't believe it when he rejects Heaven for his brother outside.

The second is a short story with Sam only. He's in a motel room. The supernatural is not real... it's just his imagination, the result of a tumour. I think he dies, but I'm not certain.

Both these stories are quite old. I would love any in the same genre too. Happy with any pairing, or gen.

I'm quite certain that it was on LJ. Sam had basically gone batshit insane, he's been killing people all across the country and hunters are after him. Dean meets up with Bobby and some other hunters who have tracked Sam down to a roadhouse and Dean begs them to let him see Sam before they try to kill him. He goes in and Sam is waiting for him. Sam has powers and I think he moves things around with his mind and Dean's a bit freaked out but wants to save his brother.
It turns out that Sam thinks he's talking to an angel who is telling him to kill people but I think it was actually a demon. In the end, Dean stabs Sam before the other hunters can kill him and Sam dies in his arms.
I don't remember what season it was set in but I think it might have been that Sam went missing to go on his killing spree from Stanford, though I might be wrong.
I'm quite certain it wasn't wincest either.
I think that's all I can remember but if you have any insane or mentally ill!Sam fics to reccommend I'll be grateful :)

From what I remember, Dean dies saving the world but his body doesn't decay and smells like flowers, like a saint or god. He lies in state in some kind of large building and soon as word spreads about him, survivors start to come to be around him. He wakes up and he is changed. I think he has become a saint or a god. Castiel and Sam are in it as well. It's a great story.

I'm looking for stories in which one of the characters outlives their partner in a way that feels believable. J2 is preferred, although the dead person doesn't have to be one of the Js.

Sam+Dean gen is also great, perhaps with a hint of wincest if it's not explicit (gencest is the best!).

I'm curious to see the characters go through the different stages of grief and how that changes their relationships, either between each other or with others. Examples of what I'm looking for (J2 or Sam+Dean):

- Character A lost the love of his life a long time ago. Hasn't let himself love anyone else until Character B enters the scene. Complicated romance ensues, with Supportive!Character B and a lot of cuddles.

- Character A loves Character B. Character B dies. Character A (barely?) copes.

- Character A loves Character B . Character C, who is very dear (romantically or not) to Character A, dies. Character B helps his partner cope.

I hope this isn't too specific. I'm craving good old angst, romance, and beautiful, complex characters. Death!fic (obviously) ok, self-recs are more than welcome.

Hi! I am looking for a specific death fic I read a few years ago.
I really thought the title was something like "the ghost of you" but I can't find anything.
Here's what a can still remember: Sam dies, Dean is devastated and doesn't want to go hunting anymore. But he changes his mind (I am not quite sure but I believe he 'talked' to Ghost Sam) and then tries to live his life as best as he can. He starts hunting again, but settles down some time. In the end Dean dies as an old man surrounded by his family and is finally reunited with Sam as his twenty-something-old self in the Impala.

If someone could help me find this story, I'd be really glad!

2. Soulles!Sam is falling in love with Dean instantly after he watch him taking care of Bobby John (the skinwalker baby).

3. Sam is so possessive on Dean since he was a little kid. I recall reading at least one story a few years ago where the boys were old and took daily walks in the park. There were several park regulars who recognized them. By the end of the story only one of them was coming, and it was implied the other had passed away.

I think there might have been two similar stories - both were responses to a prompt from one of the LJ communities. I don't believe the stories were slash, exactly, but they could have been read that way if I remember right.

So, I haven't seen a whole lot of stories that feature Sam dying Pre-Stanford and am wondering if anyone knows of any that they would recommend. Wee!chesters is perfectly fine as well.

Sam dose not actually have to die in the fic, but it would be ideal if Dean and John thought he was for any amount of time. Bonus points if we see Dean and John grieving/ struggling to come to terms with Sam's death(That may or may not be real).

The fic I'm looking for was set at the end of season 6 or the beginning of season 7. I seem to remember there was mention of Cas as god, but it could have been before all that went down. I do know it was about Sam's wall crumbling, and he basically never came out of the coma. Dean carried on looking after him at Bobby's, basically giving up on everything. It starts with Dean being hopeful that Sam will come out of it, but as Sam deteriorates so does Dean. There were pretty in depth scenes of Dean washing Sam and treating bed sores etc. In the end Sam dies in one of the most heartbreaking scenes I've ever read. If memory serves, Dean shoots him because he knows Sam wouldn't want to be stuck like that but I'm a little hazy there. There may have been some sort of communication between the brothers, with Sam asking Dean to put him out of his misery. However it comes about, Dean just gives up. He basically goes to bed and wills himself to die, and Bobby can't do anything to stop it and has to watch as Dean dies of a broken heart.

The last scene is Dean waking up in Heaven, in the Impala and Sam comes to get him, and Mary is on the porch waving at them or something similar. It is one of the saddest and most beautiful things I have ever read and although it ends with them both dead, it kind of has a happy ending too.

I'm pretty sure this was a oneshot, and I'm pretty sure it was Gen and not Wincest, but I'm not positive about that. I'm scouring the big bang and the mini bangs in search of it as well as my story favs, bookmarks etc but so far, no luck.
