Hello! I'm looking for two Sam/Dean fics. Unfortunately I can't remember their names but I read them somewhere on LJ (I think).

The first one is a non-hunting AU where Mary is alive and the boys have other siblings. Somehow I remember that John and Mary might have had five kids overall. I think the fic was told mostly from the parents' and the other siblings' POVs.

The second one is a pre-series AU. John died at some point and the boys are raised by Bobby. I vaguely remember there was very brief Caleb/Dean in it because Dean was being silly and trying to resist Sam.

I think both fics were fairly short.

Gen Fic. I remember the story where Sam hunts with Mary and Dean does not and grows up with John. They soon reunite during John’s funeral. Relationship between the Bros are tense for a bit. They travel together and teach Dean to hunt. At one point in the motel Sam and Dean fight and dean says something that hurts Sam.

I'm looking for a fic I read a while ago. I don't really remember how it began, but Dean was a kid and he somehow saved Mary form the yellow-eyed demon with the help from Castiel.
I remember that Cas only showed up when Dean was alone, so everybody thougth he was Dean's imaginary friend (wich made little Dean sad and pissed because noone believed him).
Years passed and Cas helped Dean become a hunter without his parents knowing, he even met Bobby at some point.
I remember that even with all that happening, the Apocalipsis started when Dean was still a teen.

Hi all. Using a spare journal I didn't even know existed so I can post here on the LJ side. Whee. Anyway.

So I'm looking for a few specifics and some general searches. I've been out of the fandom like 5 years, so the things I remember reading are now quite aged.

1) Recently I was reading an outsider POV of a worker in a diner. It reminded me of another one but I realized they were not the same one. In the one I was reading, she meets Sam and Dean 3 times, but one time is set in S8, so that was while I wasn't around. She has kids, and she gives Dean pie and he always gives her a huge tip and tells her to take care of herself. Anyway that one was really good and I'd love to read that again but there was one that was somewhat similar that was an earlier fic, and it was outsider POV with a waitress, so basically any of those I'd read.

2) I'm remembering a fic where Mary raises the boys. Some slightly weird supernatural stuff is going on, but I don't think they're hunters. I'm looking for any fics where Mary raises the boys, especially if John dies. I'll be real about this, I'm looking for fics where possibly they swap places. ;)

3) I've got a lot of favorites I've been downloading as PDFs from this comm and that's been so helpful, but a general search is for any fics with Sam and Dean happy in each other's company and/or when they really talk about the shit that's happened to them and reach any amount of closure.

4) I also just remembered a specific fic where there is a haunted diner, and it keeps replaying the exact same moment over and over or something, like that's why it is known to be closed down and haunted. And it has something to do with John and Mary I think.

I am okay with gen or Wincest, or het, not that I'm looking for anything in particular in the pairing department. I don't read angel pairings so no Destiel or Sam/Gabriel please. Actually the fewer Supernatural angels the better.

I tried to tag this with everything that I could find in the tag list, but couldn't find some things, so I hope it is sufficiently tagged.

It's been a while, so I'm a little sketchy on the details, but Dean is just a child (5-ish) when he meets Cas - I want to say Cas is his teacher, but maybe not. Dean is drawn to Cas right away and is super possessive, getting all growly when Cas shows interest in anyone else, even though he doesn't understand why yet, Cas knows right away that Dean is his mate, but puts it in his pocket for the moment because Dean is a kid. Mary and John both try to get to know him but John is all twitchy about a grown man perving on his son even though Cas refuses to make a move (no matter how much Dean wants him to as Dean goes through adolescence) until Dean's old enough.

Anybody know what I'm talking about? I'll be your best friend :)

Okay, so, this is a fic where Dean (and Sam?) were abducted very young. John has been looking for them ever since, while I'm pretty sure Mary is still alive but has given up the search and gone back into hunting. John is in contact with Bobby, doing odd jobs for him. Not hunting, I don't think.

He's running an errand in some city when he somehow runs into Sam or Dean, but loses them. I think. Something to do with him showing people a photo. When he finally finds them again, it's in some kind of abandoned warehouse where they're playing.

When Dean spots him he kicks him and calls him a perv and tries to escape on their bike. I think they split up? One of them gets hit by a car, and John takes him to the hospital.

That's all I can remember. I was pretty sure it was on fanfiction.net but the search is not helping much.

The story im looking for is over 8 years old. It was on fanfiction.net.
The summary was basically that mary lived and dean was taken by the yellow eyed demon and raised as his son.
Mary and john had more kids.
Dean met either john or caleb on a werewolf hunt about 20 years later.
Then again somewhere that was haunted by ghosts.
They then find out dean is their son etc.
They then tell dean, he meets his siblings and deals with his 'father', the yellow eyed demon.
Dont think this fic had any pairing except john/mary

For some reason, I'm dying for fics where Dean is sent to a universe where the canon events haven't happened, or time-travels back to when he was younger, yet he still has all his memories. Also, does anyone know of some fics where Mary finds out what the boys have been through and doesn't react well to it? Basically any fics where alternate universe or pre-series Mary/John/Sam meet canon!Dean.

Around 12 years later, john was coming back from his work at the auto shop and needed dean (who as coming from school) to grab a few thing for him in a new client named Robert Singer, in Sioux Falls.
On his way, Dean has a little car accident. I don’t remember exactly how, but Sam sees him and helps dean. As dean still has a headache and isn’t really trust worthy behind the wheel, Sam takes him home – currently Bobby’s home – where his mommy is still at work on the hospital, and Bobby’s on the garage.

Mary works as a nurse at the hospital, and John has an auto shop, raised Dean well, is overprotective over him, and calls him to know if he’s alright because it was a long drive to get to his destiny.

Meanwhile, Sam talks a lot about his “family” and so does Dean, and they have a feeling that something isn’t adding up. Later, Mary gets home and kind angry at Sam because she doesn’t like he takes strangers to their home (she raised him as a hunter like her and Bobby) until she recognizes Dean.

Sam gives Dean his number before Dean leaves.

When Dean gets home, he starts to do research about his and Sam’s past, and starts to think they’re brothers, while Sam does the same thing and come to the same conclusion. Dean calls Sam and tells him about his suspicions, and they decide to meet again.

This time Dean confronts Mary and I think that at this point she tells him and Sam the truth. Dean gets angry at her and doesn’t accept her excuses for separating him and Sam.

At some point he tells John everything, but john doesn’t stay angry at Mary as much as Dean to his dismay, and they kind stay together as a family, although Dean doesn’t forgive Mary completely.

I'm looking for a specific fic I read a while ago on AO3, it was Destiel, an AU where Dean was raised by John, and Sam by Mary. Mary and Sam thought Dean died I think, and then Sam meets Dean by chance at a friends house when he's in college, or something. They're still hunters in it, but John doesn't let Dean hunt, Dean does all the research for John-and lives in a small apartment by himself I think-I can't remember why, there was something unusual about Dean, possibly he was an Omega? Dean was just forming a relationship with Cas. When Mary comes to visit, she first disguises herself and observes Dean at the garage where he works, before meeting him at a family barbecue. I think Sam already knew Cas. Sorry, I know that's rather vague. I think it was a WIP, and it was quite long.

I'm also looking more generally for any fics that have Chuck in a fatherly role, particularly high school AUs where Cas' family take Dean in for whatever reason, and Chuck is a father figure, if such exist. Basically anything where Chuck is acting fatherly towards Cas and Dean by extension.

Hi! I'm looking for any stories where Sam was raised as a hunter but Dean wasn't. Whether it be because it's an au where Sam was raised by John and Dean by Mary or maybe John had Dean taken away for some reason. Then years later Sam and Dean meet or are reunited.
Or really any story where Dean had a better childhood than Sam even if it has nothing to do with hunting. Gen is preferred but Wincest would be fine. Thanks!

I have two general searches:

1. I'm looking for au Wincest stories in which the boys aren't hunters. Mary isn't dead and even if she is John doesn't go looking for her killer so the boys don't grow up on the road. Maybe they do have a dysfunctional family. But, I would love the story even more if Sam and Dean fall in love with each other even when they have a happy, apple-pie life. (It could be J2, too, if you have such recs). But, whatever the pairing is, the boys should be brothers or atleast half-brothers. Step brothers are okay too, I guess. I am looking for fics in which the boys grew up together but if you know of a fic in which the boys grew up separately, then rec them too.

2. I've been jonesing for some cheesy high school au fics lately. You know, the first love, "Oh God I got paired up with my crush for the Chem project" kind of love. The pairing can be J2 or Sam/Dean (If Wincest, the boys could be brothers or unrelated). It can be about anything but, it should be set in high school with at least one of the boys as a student.

The only requirement I've got for both the stories is that they be bottom!Jared or bottom!Sam. Please warn me if your fic has bottom!Jensen/Dean. Happy endings aren't a must but it would be good to get a warning for a death!fic (unless you think getting that spoiler warning would ruin the reading experience). Self-recs are more than welcome.

I'm searching for a fic I read a while back on ao3. It was an AU where Mary lived instead of John. She raised the boys to be hunters, and events played out similarly to the show, just with Mary in John's role. She was kinda cold, but not heartless or anything. Anyway, when Cas shows up in Dean's life she is very suspicious of him, threatens him, etc. Eventually, she's forced to accept Cas is there to stay. It was a Destiel fic, quite long, split into three chapters I think. Anyone? Thanks : )

I'm looking for a specific fic in which Sam is sent to an alternate reality (by Gabriel, and against sam's will) in which he died as a baby. Sam exists as a ghost in this reality and is connected with dean so can't move very far from him. Dean can sense sam, but doesn't know who he is at first: he doesn't remember his brother sam because his parents never talked about him. Eventually Dean figures it out, and with the help of his amulet his real memories return to him (he was sent from the real universe along with sam but his memories were erased).

Turns out that Gabriel was working with the fates (unhappily), who were trying to restart the apocalypse, and this was a trial run, trying to get sam to agree that his family would have been happier if he had died as a baby. However, Lucifer still escaped and the Winchesters still hunted. Things aren't better.

specific scenes:

Sam communicates through txts and the computer.
Dean finds sams headstone at the cemetery- confronts his parents.
Sam walks over deans amulet on the ground and dean can see him.
Dean and John trap Sam in a salt ring- it hurts sam.

I'm looking for fics (or vids even) where Dean and Sam as adults get stuck with the young Mary and/or John; like if in 5.13 they got stuck in the past (maybe Dean, Sam and Mary leave without telling John anything, etc). I'm only looking for fics when all (or most) parties know about their relationships, so not so much codas to 4.3 when only Dean knows who he is in relation to the rest of them. I am looking for a fic where Sam and Dean are surrounded by demons (and I believe Ava), and because they kill Dean, Sam goes crazy and kills all the demons with his powers. One of the demons, who still lives, offers to make a deal, where the brothers will be sent to another reality. The catch? There will be no Sam Winchester - that way, his family will stay out of the demon's radar and remain safe. Sam takes the deal since it's the only way Dean will live, but one of the demons interferes so that Dean actually remembers everything. He freaks out when he finds himself in his four-year-old body, but relaxes when he realizes Mary's pregnant and so he'll be back with Sam again - except Sam's due date passes and he gets a sister instead. Dean freaks out and over the years tries several times to run away to find Sam, and eventually leaves to track him down - which he naturally does. Sam's had a rough life, and John distrusts him, enough that he gets a private investigator to find out stuff about Sam. The demons don't of course leave the Winchesters alone, and so Sam and Dean return to battle them and save Mary again.

There are also scenes where Dean ignores/rejects his sister (for example, refusing to read her a book because that's a book that he associates with Sam).

I am looking for any au fics where Sam and dean were raised pretty much perfectly normal with both parents and pretty normal lives and still end up falling in love and starting a relationship, still really codependent. I don't really care if the supernatural aspect comes into play at one point or another or if it doesn't mention anything supernatural at all. Hi. I'm looking for some Destiel Jealous!Dean fics, so if you have any, any at all, please feel free to comment. Once upon a time I had a nice list of it, but most of it got identically erased. I'm now in the process of hunting some of those down down and reading some news ones along the way.

1. AU in parts. I think the scene started out in a diner, with Sam complaining about how Mary (both their parents are alive) kept bugging him about his lack of relationships. Sam then asked Cas to come to the Winchester home for Christmas dinner as his date. Dean strongly opposed, Cas did not. Cue epic jealousy and angst.
When they arrived at the house, John made a jab about how he thought it was always the older Winchester that Cas had his eyes on.

There was a flash back to the first time Cas and Dean met, where Cas asked Dean out in a parking lot but Dean rejects him(an action which Dean now DEEPLY regrets now). Dean later met Cas again as his roommate, Victor's boyfriend.

At the end, Dean drives Cas home and kissed him by the doorway?. Cas got angry. Cue feelings sharing.


2. I think the boys were celebrating Thanksgiving/Christmas at Bobby's? For some reasons, Dean thinks Cas is in love wit Sam. Cue the most hilarious jealousy/man-pain/breakdown scenes from Dean.

I remember Dean kept describing some sort of ever changing animal flopping around in his stomach every times he thinks about Sam and Cas together. (monkey/whale?)

Once scene I vividly remember is Dean having a complete mental breakdown in a supermarket(falls to his knees?) while out shopping with Sam for ingredients for Bobby.
He's completely overwhelmed by the thought of Sam and Cas being together, and his thoughts go something like: Sam and Cas are gonna get married, they're gonna have adopted kids from Cambodia, I'm gonna be a frigging Uncle. Then Sam sees him on his knees and gets pissed off because he thinks Dean is just goofing off.

I've been reading so many fics where Sam and John treat Dean badly, neglect his feelings and that sort of thing, and while I do love them, but I need me some fluff please.

1)fics where Sam, John or both spoil Dean for whatever reason, his birthday.
2)Sam or John goes back in time, determined to make life better for Dean.

So, I also heard that aparently Mary was a hunter (My falling out with the show has put me off actually watching it past season 2/3, but  I still look it up sometimes) So...

3) So, any fics that explore the fact that Dean is a born hunter. John and Sam are so terribly... just *not*, they're in it for revenge, and once that's done, if the whole Angel/Demon crazy thing from the later seasons never happened, and John hadn't died, once the YED was killed Sam and John would give it up, they would go back to a normal life, and though Dean would probably enjoy having a proper home base to work from, he would still be a Hunter.
4) Any fics where the YED doesn't come and Mary takes Dean out on his first hunt, while John and Sam do father/son stuff. Because I reckon in a normal world Sam would be a total Daddy's boy, they'd talk school and stuff, and Dean would be a Mommy's boy.

And lastly some other little fics I'd love to see.

5)Where Dean has always been a girl, but dresses as a boy for convience sakes (John's old shirts, and to be able to have hand me downs for Sammy). Some fics where Sam likes seeing her get dressed up all girly, because it means they have money to spare and that Dean is treating herself, and relaxing.
6) Dean has his home base at Stanford while Sam is at college, and Dean shows up occassionally to hang out with Sam. Maybe Sam's friends think this is weird because all of them would kill to just be away from their annoying siblings, and Sam just grins and enjoys it!

Gen only if possible. though I might take a Wincest if it's pretty damn awesome. But Gen if you can. Thank you all so much for the help!

1.  So I've read quite a few bad!John fics, but I've only come across a few with Mary being the poor parent or a very flawed person.  Anyone have any recs on this topic?  This can be set in the supernatural universe or a total au.  Dark and gritty is fine with me too.  Whatever you got, I'll take.

Hi! I'm looking for a specific fic in which Castiel was the half-brother of Sam and Dean. I remember Mary still being alive, but John had left the family. John had an affair in Russia with a hooker (Castiel's mom) before coming back to the states. The fic centered around Sam finding out about Castiel and trying to get him to come to America. However, Castiel is pretty poor and could only communicate sporadically on like a library computer or something. He works as a hooker and eventually saves up enough to buy a cheap cellphone. There was one scene in which Castiel arrives in America and is super dirty and Dean gives him a disgusted look while Sam is sympathetic. The big finale is that it turns out John had actually used Castiel (I don't remember if it was dub-con or non-con) and the family gathers around him to support him. Thanks for all the help!

Also, if you guys know of any other fics where Castiel is a brother (adopted, biological, whatever) to Sam and Dean please let me know!

1) More than a year ago, I read a fic... can't remember the author or the title of the story, but in it, I think Sam wakes up in the past where he's just a kid, but he has all his memories from when he was a grown man. Dean is younger than him, but I think there is something mentally wrong with him, I think he even has seizures. I remember that they lived with Mary, but she wasn't such a good carer, and Sam always took it upon himself to look after Dean when this happened, I think Sam was even a bit violent toward Mary..... I hope someone can help me find this, I really liked that story.

2. This one is vague and a bit difficult... ok, A LOT, since it's been months since I read it, but can't remember the author, or title... but what's worse, I can't really remember what it was about either... the only thing I remember was that it had Sam and Dean, it was a one shot, it was posted on Hoodie-Time community (pretty sure) and the most important thing is that it was the SWEETEST and I mean SWEETEST thing ever!!! I try and try to remember more about it, but all I remember are the feeling of awww OMG AWWW!! So what I would appreaciate all you nice people out there, if you could please point me to the sweetest thing you have ever read that included the brothers, don't care genre or whatnot... hopefully I can finally find it that way, cause really... I mean, the sweetest thing you've read? easy... right?

I'm looking for a fic I've read several times but forgot to save.

It's an AU where John and Mary are alive, the Winchesters live in Lawrence and Sam and Dean are in high school.  Dean moves to California after he graduates and a few years later Sam follows after him.  John's an alcoholic and if I remember correctly, Mary dies or they divorce.  It's the beginnings of wincest while Dean is still home and it's one of the reasons that he leaves.  He works in an auto shop in CA and he has his own drinking problem.

I am looking for a fic that I have read many time on Fanfiction.net and thought for sure I had it on my favorites list.  It is an AU story where John, Mary and Dean are a regular family who are looking for sam who disappeared 16 years before.  They are taking a family vacation to the Grand Canyon when they stop off at a gas station where there is a robbery taking place.  In walks a 16 year old kid who saves the day.  The Winchesters immidatly know the kid is thier missing Sam.  Through several events and a DNA test they convince the kid is their son and brother.  Although they are reunionited, things are not easy for Sam to settle into family life.  It is NOT a slash or Wincest story.

Hey guys, so I've been looking around for John and Mary being alive fics, and mostly, what I find is Sam and Dean being adopted or AU fics where they don't hunt or something like that. I was wondering if anyone knows of any where the whole family still hunts? I don't really care if John and Mary have been resurrected or if they never died, or if Sam and Dean are children or adults, anything goes, I just really wanna read some fics with the whole Winchester family hunting together, moving around from hotel room to hotel room and whatnot. I am looking for a specific series of stories that are told from Jo's POV. It starts with the Winchester boys and Jo growing up together, and everyone knows about hunting, but Jo never becomes a hunter in the fic. I believe Mary survived, as did Jo's dad, and John was the one who died. Dean is characterized as very dark and abusive in this story. Eventually, Jo and Ellen break away from the Winchesters and there is a lot of bad blood between them.

Some scenes I remember: one of them playing by the river as children; Jo working at a gas station; Jo in a horse stall nearly getting crushed by the horse. There is also an encounter toward the end between the three of them where Jo is working as a caretaker for some horses and Sam brings Dean to her for help because Dean is hurt.

I lost the link to this story and and can't find it.

It was a Gen Fic where Cas in an attempt to save Dean from the angels/or Lucifer at the end of Season 4 zaps Dean to an Alternate Reality where John and Mary are alive and Sam is just a kid. Cas puts Dean's soul in that universe's Teenage Dean who just died from a drug overdose or something. Nobody knows this isn't their Dean. The story is mostly from little Sammy's perspective and he notes how different Dean is and how he is suddenly nice to him. Turns out this universe isn't so safe and the YED comes for Sam and Dean and Cas have to save Sam and the world. It was a really awesome story and I want to find it.
And Rec me any stories similiar to this. Cas zapping Dean somewhere to save him or AUs where Mary never died. Slash or Gen

RhymePhile's amazing story "In This Secluded Spot..."(link below) inspired me to make this request: I'm looking for any stories where Sam and Dean were raised apart, with Sam being raised by Mary, and Dean hasn't seen them in years. One day, as a teenager or adult, Dean finds his way home to them. I'd love it if Cas is with Dean, whether as a couple or not, or if Mary's parents feature somewhere in the story. Do any stories out there fit this description? Thanks a million guys!

I just watched the episode 'In the Beginning' where Dean's sent back to meet a young John and Mary and her folks. The thought came to me that what if, instead of Dean leaving when John awoke from death in Mary's arms, he stuck around long enough to tell her of her future death. What if, instead of leaving hunting and living a civilian life for the next ten years, Mary stayed aware, stayed in training so to speak, so she wouldn't be taken by surprise when the demon came for her baby son. I wonder how thing might have been different if John and Mary had taken precautions to protect their children, if they had know Ellen or Jim or Bobby earlier. Has anyone written anything like this? Or is this just the ramblings of an unhinged mind?

Okay, so in reading a myriad of vampire!Dean fics (long before the creation of Live Free or Twihard episode) I ran across a fic and for the life of me can't remember title/author/where it is.

The boys are NOT related in the story. Sam is a hunter I think and finds Dean (who has been vamped ... can't remember if it's a Twilight crossover either) and decides not to kill him. And at one point they go to see Mary (who is Dean's mother/retired hunter). They stay with her for a bit. Mary figures out that Dean has become a vampire but doesn't kill him. After they leave, they keep in contact with Mary through post cards and holiday visits. Then when she becomes elderly and sick, they risk coming back to town to be with her at the hospital. (I say risk, because in the years they've been in contact with Mary, Dean obviously hasn't aged and they don't want to cause any problems for themselves if someone remembered them.)

I have Kirallie's A Changed Life saved as well as Dying to Live and Craving saved. The story I'm looking for is NOT any of those.

Are there any fics where instead of Mary dying, John does, in turn making either Sam or Dean lean more towards dudes???(that's just a lil theory of mine, derp) Or just Dean is gay overall ever? I don't even need a pairing or anything, I just would like to see how the fandom would inerpret/manipulate this. (That's one of my most favorite parts about reading fanfiction, along with the actual story. :])

Before I'm forced back into the monotomy known as University life, I would love for some recs!  Long, completed stories would be the best, but anything works.  Please no wincest or slash.




1. Boys life where they've retired from hunting, for whatever reason, could be a major injury that benches one for good, I draw the line  paraplegic/coma stories, blinded, deaf, missing a limb however, that works.  Just domesticated life after hunting, them trying to acclimate to normal life, with jobs and such.  Bonus points if one or both of the boy's has kids!!!!!!!


2. John/Mary love stories....  preferably ones wher Mary doesn't kick it.  Cute fics with baby/in untero!Dean or Sam is more than acceptable.  Stories where Mary isn't from a hunting family.


Self recs will be given extra hugs!

Hi, I'm new here, but I've gone through most of the archives, and I was hoping ya'll could give me some recs.

1. I like AU, pretty much anything that is NOT WINCEST, any stories where the boys don't hunt the supernatural, limp!boys work too, gen and het only please.  I don't want any slash, J2 or wincest, please please please, I'm not into that.

2. Any recs where the boys are adopted by John and Mary, I've read 'Lightness and Darkness' and 'Have You Ever Seen the Rain'- so fics like those would be great.   If Adam is in the fic too that would be amazing!

3. Also any boys as parents fic recs, for this I prefer Dean as the parent and Sam as a supportive uncle.... bonus point for Grandpa John.

4. And one final request, some non-slash tattoo/piercing fics.
