Specific Wincest fic  
This is a fic that’s at least a few years old, but I can’t remember the title OR the author so I’m stuck. It’s complete and I think it was written for a minibang.
It was basically a twist on WIAWNSH where Dean touches a magical mirror (I thought it was called elderglass??? idk) that sends him to an alternate reality where life is just better, but without a djinn slowly killing you. In this reality, he and Sam ended up getting together whereas in the “real world” neither of them had made the choice to kiss each other after a specific event. Most of the fic involves Dean road tripping with other-Sam while trying to avoid telling him he’s really a construct inside of a mirror as he tries to get back to the “real world”.

FOUND! Dean/Sam AU - Dean wakes up next to Sam to different universe  
Hi guys, I am looking for a specific fic I read a while ago and forgot to bookmark. I am not sure whether it was on LJ or AO3, but here's what I remember:
- Dean wakes up in a different universe next to Sam who is his boyfriend/husband. It may have been caused by the djinn from ep. 02x20 or by something else, I am not sure. I searched through the whole tag and didn't find it so someone here hopefully will :)
- Dean was supposed to be some kind of trophy husband I suppose, I don't remember whether he even worked, but at some point he was having a 'girl's night' with some of his female friends from that universe. I have a feeling there was Meg who was married to Cas but I could have confused this with something else.
- Dean didn't want to sleep with Sam because obviously, they were brothers from Dean's POV, so he made up something about erectile dysfunction.
- It was pretty similar to Never Be by [livejournal.com profile] rejeneration but this one's not it.
- Pretty sure there was a happy ending.

So... If it rings any bells - I will be immensely grateful!

Djinn/dream world happy fics. gen. Sam and Dean.  
Hi there. I've recently been reading some Djinn/dream world fics to which one or other of our Sam and Dean are transported.
While at first there seem to be perks to these worlds, such as John and Mary being alive/Jess/ Sam going to college/Dean having a wife, etc, invariably the brothers have never bonded, barely acknowledge each other and at times dislike or even hate one another.

It'd be nice to read a fic where they have bonded, and love and care for one another just as our Sam and Dean do.
I wondered if there were any fics that took the Djinn/dream world in that direction, for though I enjoy the genre, the stories always leave me feeling kinda sad for what could have been for the alt. Sam and Dean.

Only looking for gen. If the alt. Winchesters are in a wincestuous relationship, the dynamics of this type of fic change completely.

Dean/Gabriel fic with a djinn?  
I read this fic AGES ago.

it had dean and gabriel in a djinn-like world, i'm not sure if it was really a djinn, and they were living a domestic-type life, like in the djinn-episode. Im pretty sure sam was in it, and that jess and mary were alive. dean and gabriel were dating, and as far as i know, dean did not know that it wasnt real, but gabriel did. he fell in love but dreaded the day dean would find out that it wasnt real.

i dont remember much else, but i'll add more if i can think of anything.

Carmen (What is and What should Never Be) POV Wincest fic  
Hey guys,

Hoping you could help me find an older fic I've been looking for!

It's set in the Universe of "What is and What should Never Be" and it's Carmen's POV. In it, she finds out Dean has been cheating on her with Sam.....I think Sam was kind of sinister in the fic too...can't really remember

Looking for a fic: Dean has a secret deal - FOUND by <user site="livejournal.com" user=" saltandburn  
This is an older one shot, completely gen with Dean supposedly settled down in Lawrence (?). He and Sam living normal lives with regular jobs that don't include hunting and Sam is married. It was kind of in the style of What Is and What Should Never Be, it starts with Dean rushing to the hospital (I think) to witness the birth of Sam's first born son. Sam and his wife were fine and the baby was beautiful. Dean has to leave the hospital (?) in a hurry to make his deadline. The deadline it turned out is that by day he lives his days with his family and by night is dragged back to hell to be tortured by demons. He keeps this all secret to protect his family.

Does this ring any bells with anyone. It was a great short story written from Dean's POV.

What Is and What Should Never Be  
Good afternoon all!! Spoilers for Season 2 (not sure if this is needed)

.....

I've decided to re-watch Supernatural from the very beginning (wow are they young!) and I'm now looking for a story I read years ago, or anything like it. It's at the end of What Is and What Should Never Be, everything is cannon, except Dean doesn't wake up when he stabs himself, he stays in the dream world. He reconnects with the roadhouse and continues hunting.

Please no wincest.

WIAWSNB AU Destiel - Specific fic - FOUND  
Help please! I started reading this fic at work, on AO3, and obviously I couldn't save it or bookmark it, and now, of course, I can't find it anywhere. I don't have a title or an author. All I know is it was the first fic in a verse. It was a destiel AU where Dean wakes up next to Cas, instead of Carmen. The rest of the fic followed the plot of the episode almost to a T.

I would appreciate the help in finding it

Looking for semi-specific type of Wincest fic for What Is and Should Never Be  
Hey guys! So today I'm looking for a kind of specific type of fic based off the episode What Is and Should Never Be from season 2. Are there any fics out there based in the same exact universe where Dean ends up hooking up with uptight, college boy Sammy even though he's with Jess and Dean's with Carmen (Carmen doesn't necessarily need to be in the rec'd story, just the Sam with Jess part)?

On the flip side of the coin, are there any Wincest (or hell I'd even take gen/het) where Sam ends up in this universe and he's still with Jess but Dean is the one who doesn't really like/connect with Sam? He can be completely indifferent to Sam, care deep down, ect but I love the idea of the Dean Sam was talking about in the episode. You know, the douche bag steal-my-brothers-prom-date, gambling addicted thief who that Sam can't seem to stand.

You guys got any ideas on some fics similar to this concept? I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks! :D

3 Specific fics, 1 J2 & 2 Wincest  
The first fic is an Au J2 fic, It's a Tarzan type fic. You'd think this would be easy to find but I've looked through the tags here, at J2-recs, spnkink_meme and others but still can't find it. Jensen is on an island and Jared comes he doesn't speak to Jensen (that I recall), it's sort of dub-conish in that Jared just kind of starts touching Jensen and Jensen doesn't really know what to do and at first tries to stop Jared and talk to him but eventually gives in. It was short and I think it might have been from a prompt? Not sure though.

The second I think is wincest, could be gen. Dean is taken to an alternate universe after they're trying to hunt a djinn. In the AU Dean goes to the motel and finds that Sam has been beaten and hurt, he goes to help but sees that Sam is scared of him. Turns out Dean is abusive to Sam and I think Dean is a serial killer, not a hunter but I could be mixing that up with something else.

The third fic is wincest, Sam I think had either brain damage or some kind of mental disability. Dean took care of him and John is aware of their relationship, not entirely ok but understanding. There's one scene in particular that I remember -->( read more... )

Specific Dean-Centric AU, set in the "What is and What Should not be"-verse. FOUND  
I've looked through all the posts in the appropriate episode tag and couldn't find it. Dean still stabs himself to get out of the dream, but it turns out that the AU was real too - the Dean belonging to the WIAWSNB-verse gets the wound and ends up in the hospital. He's with Carmen in this 'verse. Later, he gets flashes of Dean's hunting life. He even goes to a therapist and is hypnotized, and it's Hunter!Dean speaking. He and Sam also spend more time together. I remember in one chapter he and Sam were at a bank and there's a robbery, and Dean disarms one of the robbers by instinct. Later on he also starts looking into supernatural stuff, and Sam comes along, and I think they get rid of a ghost - possibly a boy that was struck by lightning or electrocuted. Missouri may or may not have been in it.

Specific Dean-centric AU  

Hello everyone,
This is the first time i've ever posted anything on here so let me know if i do something wrong.

I'm having a bit of trouble finding a specific fic. I thought i bookmarked it but apparently, i didn't.
I'm very sure it was a WIP. I think it was an AU based off of "What Is and Should Never Be" and i THINK it was Sam/Jess and eventual Dean/Castiel.

I remember that it started out with the night that Mary died. Four year-old Dean somehow knew that Yellow eyes was going to pay them a visit so he set devil traps and wards in Sam's room to protect him and yellow eyes didn't kill mary that night, nor did he do...anything else that night. (yay! no spoilers!) John thought Dean was imagining things or going crazy or something but Mary believed him (for obvious reasons). He tells Sam about the supernatural when they're kids but John convinces Sam that Dean was just messing with him and Sam gets angry at Dean for lying to him, Sam stops speaking to Dean after that. Eventually Dean cuts all ties with his family except his mom (who tries to get him to visit for thanksgiving or something), moves away and starts hunting. I believe it starts off as Dean/Cassie but eventually they break up. I think it involved time-travel of some sort but i don't know for sure.

That's all i remember.
If you guys could help me find it, i would really appreciate it. :] <3

Hello, at first I've to say that I'm totally in love with this community!
Thanks for your help in advance :)

1. I'm searching for Wincest storys based on 02x20 What is and never should be. 
Dean x Alternative!Sam and stuff like this, maybe fluff and hurt&comfort.
I prefer NC-17, but also PG-13 or PG when there are good written ones and... bottom!Sam

2. Do you know any Dean/Castiel storys with a narrow-minded Cas about human things? Or totally virgin!Cas but more in a fluffy way than a sexual one? I would love some kind of first time storys and so on.

3. Any good Cas/Meg storys, maybe dark ones?

General search: Au-ish, Dean is a hunter but Sam isn't.  

Okay, first time requester~ woot(?)

Anyways I was wondering if there are any fics like a spin on What is and Never Should Be? I was thinking where Dean was a hunter but Sam doesn't know anything about the Supernatural world but somehow finds out. Wincest would be awesome but not necessary.

I've always imagined Dean learning about it from John but Mary was still alive and well, but that isn't really important. What I am trying to get at is the whole set up of What is and Never Should Be, except Dean was always a hunter. Anybody know of any fics like that? 

Or anything with Dean being a hunter and clueless Sam?

Dean/Carmen Fics  
I just got finished reading the most awesome Dean/Carmen fic, "Grazed Knees" and I was wondering if there are any other Dean/Carmen fics out there?

What I do not want:
PWP's
Wincest
Destiel
Fics where Dean's in a djinn induced dream. I want it to be set in the real world (well, "real world" meaning, the real world for Dean)

What I want:
A happy ending
Bonus points for multi-chapter but it doesn't have to be.
Self-recs are awesome :)

And even though I want a happy ending, it doesn't matter to me how much hell the characters are put through before the happy ending. So yes, angst is good :)

2 General request & 3 specifics  
I'm looking for a couple of specific fics and a general request.

1.  I'm looking for a specific fic that I think was a 5 times fic. The only one I remember had Sam & Dean running away from CPS and ending up freezing to death in an alley.

2.  Any fic where Sam and Dean are living on the streets (both underage).

3.  Any fics roughly based on WIAWSNB or alternate realities.  I don't care if it's Sam or Dean who go and I don't care if the "other side" is evil or apple pie or somewhere in between.  I just want to read some "fish out of water."

4.  The two specific fics are one that had Dean stuck in WIAWSNB reality and Sam shows up as Dean's daughter's (son's??) teacher.  The other one has Dean going to an alternate reality where his counterpart is dead and he decides to stay with the other Sam because his Sam is dead too.  Then he discovers that the alternate Sam is evil.

Any help with any of these would be greatly appreciated.

"I saw this one vid where Sam Dies and Dean has to live with out his man, for five tortured years, but then Sam snaps him out of the Djinn's spell, the look on Dean's face, the way he cling to Sam, and the way he said Sam's name, voice full of sadness, and relief was just heart breaking...But me in my boundless stupidity forgot to save it to my "Wincest" youtube play list, and now I can't find it again :("

Wincest Alternate Reality  
HEY THERE! well hello again, now I've come with a new request but this is of an existing fic. :O
Okay so all I can really remember is about Dean going into this alternate universe and being with Sam (like being together, together) and sam being all like huh you're acting weird, there's also this part where they walk in the beach. Then Dean comes back and finds himself missing what he had in that reality.

Actually I believe that I found this fic through spn storyfinders so someone put it in here, but I can't remember under what tags.

I don't know if it was based in any episode but you could take an example from dream a little dream of me or what is and what should never be... I don't really know if it's even based in an episode but I do remember all the details I mentioned before.

I've been dying, I've been looking and I can't find it and I have this craving to read it! So can you guys help me finding it please?

What Is and Should Never Be  
 OK, so the ep was good, but i thought it was soooo cliche.  i thought the writers could of went all out in this episode but they didnt.  So i am looking for any fics that are basically a rewrite of the episode.  

Can be slash/ wincest.  Can be hurt/comfort(prefer it actually). like obviously Sam prob wouldnt have gone to stanford or even met Jess cause he picked that career in lieu of the life around him.

Also, you can throw any fics that toss Dean into an Alternate Dimension during this time.

If you can find anything, much appreciated.

Specific Sam/Dean Request  
I've read this story a few times and I always forget to bookmark it. It's what could have happened if Dean stabbing himself didn't work in What Is and What Should Never Be. I'm almost positive that it was called We Were Twenty.
Sam and Dean don't get along but they work together to rebuild a house over one summer. It's obvious that they used to have a relationship and they're torn between restarting it. I would love you guys forever if you could link it! Thanks so much.

Alternate universe Sam and/or Dean?  

Hi. I'm looking for any fics that deal with Sam and/or Dean somehow getting involved with alternate versions of themselves. Like one of them switches places with an alternate version of themselves, or somehow ends up in an alternate universe WITH thier alternate self(selves) still there. Or any variation there of. It could be something from the universe the djinn created for Dean, or a completely different one. Evil counterparts...anything!

I would love it if there was wincest, but gen is fine.

Glimpse of alternate reality or Normal lives  
Hi! I've been re-listening to Stopped at the Crossroads by [livejournal.com profile] dark_reaction and Never Be by [livejournal.com profile] rejeneration . They've both really put me in the mood to read some Sam/Dean where the boys either:

- Grew up normally, but are together
or
- Get a glimpse into a life where they grew up normally and are together

Or anything that kind of falls close and is in the vein of What is and what should never be.

I wouldn't mind j2 stories either if they fit into the same general theme of getting a glimpse of a different life.

WIASNB AU  
Just rewatched 'What is and Shall Never Be' and it reminded me of an AU fic I read where Dean (convinced the Djin is real) stabs himself in the chest but then wakes up in the hospital still in the WIASNB verse. Turns out he really had a psychotic break or something. The fic is centred about him getting better and trying to reconnect with his brother (I think). I remember that Sam totally freaked and didn't visit Dean in the hospital as he's convinced Dean was trying to kill himself.

Ring any bells? I've been through the WIASNB tag but cant seem to find it.

Also any other reccs for fics based in the WIASNB verse where Dean actually has snapped and has hallucinated the whole Supernatural thing would be awesome.

2) I thought I saw a story recced here on this community a while ago where the people Dean met in his <i>What is and What Should Never Be</i> dream world (Sam, Jess, Mary) were actually people in an alternate universe. Any recs for me on that?

Mute!Dean, Bitch/Jerk origins, and alt-WIANSB?  
Hai bbz. Just a few things...

1. I was reading a fic-verse a few days ago where Dean was mute, and I can't seem to find it now. =/ It was genfic, and AU, and started with Jess meeting Dean and then it goes on to have Sam find out about hunting after Jess dies? It was really awesome and I forgot to bookmark it. :X

2. Are there any fics about how the whole "bitch"/"jerk" thing got started? 

3. And are there any "What is and What Never Should Be" fics where Sam was the one to find the djin, and he wakes up engaged to Jess? 

I'd prefer no Wincest, please. Self-pimping and whatever is perfectly fine. =] Thanks for your time dears! <3

AU What Is and Never Should Be  
Hi

I'm looking for an AU fic where instead of Dean being the one sucked in by the DJinn, both Sam and Dean are trapped by it and I think John is in this one. I seem to also remember a scene where Sam confronts Dean about what's going on, letting Dean know that it's really him.

EDIT: Little more info that I'm remembering is that the Family dinner happens (mary, john, sam, dean, jess etc) and John and Mary keep laying into Dean about stuff and when Dean leaves, Sam follows and is all "Dude, what is up with our parents?"

and i could also be completely imagining this story too :)

LF Sam's POV WIANSB Fic and SpeificGenFic  

Hiya guys! Well y'all were so nice in helping me last time, I thought I'd try again. I've got two requests, and any help would be appreciated! 

1). I just read The Curve of Earth Devours by mcee(wonderful fic by the way) and I was wondering if there were anymore WIANSB fics from Sam's POV. I'd love to read some more!

Help finding a specific post- What Is And What Should Not Be fic.  
Ok, I used to have this fic bookmarked. Then, I went to read it today and it was gone.

I may have asked about this fic a long time ago on this site, I am not sure about that though. I have checked the What Is And What Should Never Be tags, were I founds some great fics I had never read, but not the one I was looking for. I also went back almost 5 months worth of posts. No luck.

In this fic, once Dean is back in reality, he is having a bit of trouble connecting. Sam asks him what it was like. Dean replies with something like. “It was nice to have food cooked for you by someone who loves you.”

Later on, Sam cooks something for Dean. I can not remember if it was pizza or pancakes. I suspect I am getting two fics mixed together.

Can anyone help?

Coda - Dean passes out  
I'm looking for a gen coda to an ep - I don't remember what ep though XP I only remember that in the fic, Sam leads a hurt Dean to the Impala and leans him against the car and Dean basically passes out on him. I remember that in the ep, it didn't look like Dean was hurt much so it surprises Sam too. He is holding Dean and he has no idea how to open the car's door without dropping him.

Vague, I know. And it's driving me nutty!!!

´'What is and what should never be' - Codas etc...  
Hey there,

I was going over last seasons final eps and stumbled head long into a craving for 'What is and what should never be' codas, ficlets, missing scenes.

Now I'm hoping that you can help me find some good stories that deal with the events. I'm not searching for AU's but rather stories where Dean's and Sam's thoughts are explained. 
What are Illusion!Sam's thoughts about seeing his 'estranged' brother again? What are Mary's thoughts? What exactly happened during the alternate past? Also, how did Real!Sam find his brother?

And finally, are there any stories, where it's Sam in the djinn's clutches? Maybe even in the same scenario, with Mary alive, and Sam and Dean not really knowing each other, just that suddenly Sam finds himself opposite a living Jess and a not-so-caring Dean.

It would be great if you could help me out here, a lot of thanks and cookies in advance!

WIASNB AU fics; Dean makes things right with Sam  
I've read a million codas for WIASNB, but none have had the plot I'm looking for.

I'm interested in fics where Dean stays in the other world and actually does make things right with Sam, proves himself as the great brother he is. If it ends in Wincest all the better.

Has anyone read something like this?
