So I was reading this really sweet fic a while back that I can't for the life of me find. It had the archangels plus Castiel and Samandriel all being androids, with the fic going in reverse order until about halfway through. Dean was Castiel's bodyguard, and Sam is mentioned a good few times throughout but is only in the second half or so. I think I read it on ao3?

Sorry if it's not much to go on but I've been looking for it everywhere! Any responses at all are appreciated :)

Alright I've remembered some extra details. It's set in the future, where those who go into the military get cybernetic enhancements. The government can essentially use those who are in the military by using what they see. Therefore people hate vets and there are designated separate areas in restaurants and stuff for them because people don't trust them. Dean is an army vet. Samandriel is dead at the start of the fic but comes back later when they travel in time.

The angels have head jacks that they use to "plug in" to systems. They are humans who were made cybernetic by Chuck due to them being severely impaired in some way. Because of this they can become overloaded and have controls. Castiel is Gabriel's control, Gabriel is Lucifer's control, and so on. Castiel has a set limit on how much time he can spend on the jacks due to Samandriel being dead so if he overloads he won't be able to be brought back down despite Cas being the main inventor for the company. Dean and Castiel end up together at the end, and Sam and Gabriel were together before Sam was killed before the timeline in the fic, but Sam too later comes back when they go back in time.

There's a whole conspiracy about Naomi (Chuck's wife) using something to control the angels, with them repeating the same phrase when asked questions about something that she had brainwashed them into doing.
