You've probably gotten these from other rec lists: veteran of the psychic wars and gemini rising by aletheo. I wasn't sure if you wanted movies? Zuben_fic has a bunch of good sci-fi based on movies-- the hunt for blue unity, palladium and astatine, and one based on pacific rim. All_the_damned_vampires has So Very Like A Grave, and if you want psychic stuff that's in a realistic present day setting, A Choir of Angels Inside My Lungs (inspired by Hannibal.)
