Specific: I don't know where I found this or even when I read this, and I don't remember all that much about it beyond:

-the boys were running from something (or something was chasing one or both of them?), had been holed up at Bobby's for a while but finally decided they couldn't just hide out any more
-they were using a specific set of wards on their motel rooms, but they weren't very effective because motels are just transitory, not permanent homes; they ended up warding the Impala, because it was the closest thing the boys had to home
-I'm pretty sure it was Dean-centric
-Cas was involved?

This story had Dean with a curse on his head. Basically, he couldn't make a move w/o something bad happening to him. I remember two scenes: Dean is walking down the (cement?) stairs of a motel and the whole staircase crumbles and chunks falling on him. 2) Dean (and Sam?) walking down the street and cars going out of control and almost hitting him. There were several other close calls in this story.

The only other things that may be helpful is that I'm pretty sure it took place in Chicago and it was dark and rainy a lot and I think a witch was involved.

This isn't exactly a request for fic. More like a request for opinions/reviews of this oh so popular series. I'm really interested in reading it, but I never like to go into something without hearing other people's opinions first. I hope this is allowed! (if not, feel free to delete and ignore, Mods!)

I read this a few weeks ago- during the first hellatus, I think. I lost track of it. I know it was gen, and a one-shot set in season 5.

Sam and Dean were in a grocery story or Walmart, and Dean watches Sam help a little girl find her mom. Dean muses on how Sam is nothing at all like Lucifer's vessel should be. At the end, Dean says that Sam did good with the kid, or something like that.

2) Light and fluffy! -- I'm looking for recs for J2 AU stories that have some hurt and/or emo Jared, but that are not really very dark. There's drama, but it's more circumstantial than from the boys' themselves.

3) Actor/normal person stories!--- I love stories where one of the boys is a world famous actor and the other is just a normal guy, and they fall in love. (Think Notting Hill or any other movie where this is an issue). I am a real sucker for these. I have read some great ones. Well, what I'm looking for is slash Dean/Sam, with bottom!Dean who is NOT a slut or a pushover, who does NOT roll over when Sam says so, but rather chooses to be bottom because he likes it.
So I basically want Dean to stay bitchy, cocky, snarky Dean who is in fact very much in control, no matter which position.
Bonus points for him having the giggles when Sam (or he) starts stupid porn-monologue and dirty-talk (because I always do).

I read a wincest-fic, where Dean finds a little girl while shopping. He gets her back to her parents and while they are searching they have the nicest talk (dean and the girl...). I didn't even realize it was wincest. It was part of four or 3 ficlets and I liked all of them. Hope that is enough to find it....

So I've read maybe about three teacher!fics (where, for some reason, Jensen's always the teacher), but I think it's turned into an obsession, because I want more.

I'm looking for two fics...but can only remember them vaguely so this'll be a toughy!

Fic 1) Think its set season one. I think Sam had been thinking Dean wasn't as intelligent as he was (possibly Dean had trouble with reading and writing?) but comes to realise that Dean just processes things different and was great at picking up patterns. Dean had been researching hunts like their dad did, pinning up the info on walls...

Fic 2) Dean had real problems expressing himself and it often took a long time for him to say what he wanted to say, especially when stressed. John had little patience for him but Sam always tried to let him finish....

If either of those vague descriptions ring any bells I'll be amazed!

I remember reading a Jared/Jensen (I think) fic a little while ago where Jared was a merman. I wish I could remember better, but Jensen had almost drowned as a kid and was somehow saved- by merman!Jared as it turns out! Anyways, it was a play on the movie Splash and I'm dying to read it again.

I think I remember reading a J2 fic based on Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, but I didn't save the link and haven't been able to find it since. I'm pretty sure the lyrics to After Hours by We Are Scientists were quoted at either the beginning or end, and I also believe that it was a one-shot. I'd really love to reread it, if anyone's saved the link.

Also, a general request: can you please rec me any fics which really focus on the crazy depth of the Winchester boys' dependence on and love for each other? Preferably gen but slash is also okay.
