I'm looking for stories in which one of the characters outlives their partner in a way that feels believable. J2 is preferred, although the dead person doesn't have to be one of the Js.

Sam+Dean gen is also great, perhaps with a hint of wincest if it's not explicit (gencest is the best!).

I'm curious to see the characters go through the different stages of grief and how that changes their relationships, either between each other or with others. Examples of what I'm looking for (J2 or Sam+Dean):

- Character A lost the love of his life a long time ago. Hasn't let himself love anyone else until Character B enters the scene. Complicated romance ensues, with Supportive!Character B and a lot of cuddles.

- Character A loves Character B. Character B dies. Character A (barely?) copes.

- Character A loves Character B . Character C, who is very dear (romantically or not) to Character A, dies. Character B helps his partner cope.

I hope this isn't too specific. I'm craving good old angst, romance, and beautiful, complex characters. Death!fic (obviously) ok, self-recs are more than welcome.

Greetings :) I am trying to find a J2 fic, AU. They are married, and the story mentions briefly that the marriage was arranged, but they find they get along great from the get-go. After a while Jensen starts to worry that Jared is losing interest, and tries to reconnect. Jared is wrapped up in work and doesn't really respond. There is a scene where they are at a party or club, and Jensen gets drunk and dances with someone else. Jared is furious, Jensen points out that Jared doesn't seem to care anymore anyway. Any ideas?
