I have a couple bookmarked in which Sam & Dean are known as heroes. They're both outsider POV and set long after the boys' time though, so I hope they're the sort of thing you're looking for. The first is gen and the second- well, you'd have to be wearing super-strength slash goggles to see it as anything but gen.
