Hi everyone! I have two requests that are related.

1. I'm searching for a specific fic I read on livejournal and there's really no way for me to explain it without giving away spoilers....
It was a short one-shot that was a twist on episode one. It was set with Jess and Sam at Stanford and Sam was up at night waiting for something while Jess was trying to convince him to let it go. As the story progresses there's little changes to canon so the reader gets the feeling something's up, for example Jess' shirt was an Obama shirt. It turns out Sam was waiting for Dean's ghost because years before when Dean asked Sam to help him find John he said no and he died. In the end Sam couldn't let Dean's ghost go and, if I remember correctly, Jess said she couldn't take it anymore. If anyone could find this I would be so grateful!

2. I would love recommendations along that line. Stories where Dean goes to ask Sam for help but he says no which results in some type of angst. It could be one where Dean winds up hurt or him and Sam just lose touch for years, I have no preference.
