Anyone knows fics where Castiel is really obsessed or possessive over Dean? It can be stalking, or doing anything/everything for Dean (even without his knowledge).
Bottom!Dean preferred, but heck I take anything with this theme - can be fluffy or really dark, doesn't matter as long as this fits.

I recently read the (thoroughly enjoyable) fic "Happy Thoughts" by Janissa11/EB, and would like to read similar fic showing Sam, Dean, or (best) Castiel impatiently going through routine medical situations - physicals, checkups, minor injuries/sickness, etc.  Bonus points for minor indignities (needles in the rear, hospital gown mishaps).

The picture I have in my head is something like 'Sam bullies Dean into going for regular physicals, b/c we're not getting any younger, and just because we fight the supernatural doesn't make us immune to atherosclerosis, and Dean, who's never had a thorough physical as an adult, is highly uncomfortable with the whole thing.' or 'newly fallen/falling Castiel suffers through his first medical appointment and does not earn a lollipop'.  I don't know if a story of such exact plot exists, but mainly I'm just looking for something kind of in that general area. :)

Preferably, it would be mainly light-hearted, with lots of brotherly teasing and sarcasm, but if the story moves into more serious territory that's okay too.  Also, if the fic's focus is a larger plot, but there are some good scenes that fit the description, I'd love to hear about them too.  I'm looking through the various Affliction! tags as I'm sure there are many great recs in there, but it's hard to know where to start, given that I'm currently thinking of either check-ups or minor issues rather than a specific larger condition or major injury being the focus of the story (though, again, I don't mind recs of that kind for good fic!).

I am specifically searching for gen, but would accept non-incestuous, light slash or het (eg Destiel) for stories where sex and physical intimacy doesn't play a big role in the story.  Please do not rec incest or explicit slash.  Also, I prefer no RPF.

Other than the pairings/no-RPF, I am open to almost anything - case fics, wee!chesters,crossovers, kid!fic, AUs, etc.

I've just finished reading cloudyjenn's Second Childhood and I was hoping to find something similar.  I really love the Dean/Cas pairing and the two of them raising a de-aged Sam is just beautiful.  Anything with a similar plot would be appreciated.  Even if it's something along the lines of Dean/Cas raising another child,(Ben, maybe?) but I'd really love to see Sam involved somehow.

Hiya, I'm looking for fics where Cas is protective of Dean/defends him in some way. Anything from Dean being attacked/injured and Cas coming to his rescue, to Sam taking Dean for granted/berating him, and Cas setting Sam straight. I guess I'm looking for fics where Dean's non-existant selfworth comes to the fore, and Cas shows him he's the most important person in the world to someone. Gen or Slash is great, please no Sam bashing.

I am trying to find a fic that I wrote and it is not in my journal, nor is it in my files... but I'm positive I posted it SOMEWHERE. I'm hoping y'all can help me.

The fic is about Castiel retrieving Dean's soul from Hell. Key points to the fic are that the soul looks like a crystaline formation, its all black and when Castiel heals it from the outside in, it keeps cutting itself off... but when he goes from the inside out, it heals. It seems to like him, and when Uriel says nasty things to/about it, it spits gunk at him.

Does anyone remember this fic? Can you point me at it? I'd be so very grateful!!

So the last time I posted I was looking for god!Cas fics and then pretty randomly I came across misachan's Who If I Cried Out Would Hear Me and it was awesome...both in the colloquial and literal sense of the term.

So! Because apparently I'm still on my Cas kick, I was wondering if anyone could rec me some fics which feature an obviously not-human Castiel (or any other angel really). Some things which would be great to find (some of which are in the aforelinked fic, which I highly recommend):

• Old Testament style smitey-ness
• Any of our other characters (Dean, Sam, or Bobby) freaking out/surprised by Cas being so other
• Angels interacting with one another in a weird/inhuman way
• Background snippets of life before the Winchesters, eg, why Balthazar calls Cas Cassie
• Angels being...angelically violent? You know, doin' stuff all impossible-like, lol, which I guess doesn't have to be violently, but at the time I was thinking of fighting. but really I guess it could be anything
• Cas trying to explain something or having something explained to him that just doesn't work because the fundamental worldviews of the characters are just that different
• On that last note: You remember how...somewhere in season 5...with the Whore of Babylon! Anyway, there's the whole "you breed with the mouth of a goat" thing and Cas is laughing and nobody gets it and then he says it's funnier in Enochian? Any chance there's any fic which covers that kind of translation issue? If there is, I imagine it'd be cracky...very cracky.
• Any fic where Cas isn't/wasn't "just a foot soldier" or, you know, one of the lowest ranks of angels, because it's freakin' canon that Castiel was Uriel's superior until he got demoted! And really, why would half the Host (or at least enough to cause real concern) follow Cas if he didn't at least have some consequence? It seems a pretty common fandom trope to cast Castiel as an angel of no note, but I find that hard to swallow. At the very least he was a very good soldier as he a) survived a siege in hell (where apparently it wasn't uncommon for angels to die as isn't that what supposedly happened to Balthazar and the main surprise came from that fact that he was, you know, not dead?) b) survived fighting to protect the seals when we know angels were dying in the conflict. It's explicitly stated. and c) pulled Dean out of hell and then proceeded to put him back together again...which I guess another angel could've done, but, well, they didn't.

...and now I feel like that last part got rather rant-y, sorry, lol.

All I've got is this: Michael was the first angel and spontaneously created himself because he didn't want God to be alone. Cas was a Seraph. They were looking for the Throne of God. Any ideas?

I believe they were two stories (the second was the sequel of the first one), where the Winchester find Jesse again - with Gabriel help maybe? - and the kid starts to think about Dean and Cas as his new parents.
There is a fight and Jesse wants to run away but the angel makes him understand that, even if they are going to fight again in the future, Cas and Dean love him very much and above all they love each other.
Do you know these stories?

I'm looking for a specific work that had Castiel as an Alpha skinwalker who sired Dean, who then became his mate. Dean is pregnant but afraid of Castiel's reaction. Discomfort from pregnancy forces him to stay mostly in a dog-like form. Castiel is worried about what he thinks is an illness, which is not common for skinwalkers. The pregnancy is uncovered by the end, but there is a happy ending.

I recently read Lakota Falls by Anne Higgins and now I want creature!fic. It can be an au, or the result of a curse. Any sort of genre is fine and I'm not picky about length either. I just really want to read these things right now and I tried to look through the werewolf tag myself but six pages in and I thought I might drown in the massive amounts of J2/Wincest/and John/Dean so for the sake of my sanity...this seemed simpler so...

Specifics of this request:

Things that I want:

- Dean/Castiel
- Wolves or Werewolves (or maybe something similar but that is preferred 'cause Mello is not so secretly obsessed with wolves...)
- Toppy!Cas and Bottom!Dean

Things that I do not want:

- No Wincest
- No RPS
- No evil!Cas or evil!Dean
- No non-con
- No MPreg

Also, as a side note, Dean doesn't actually have to be a (were)wolf. I really just want Alpha Cas being all BAMF and protective of Dean. Okay? Okay, I'm done. Love from Mello.

Looking for some fic recs!

1. I just found and devoured 300 Things and am craving some more Dean/Cas in a similar vein - warm, fluffy, with things working out at the end, and where Sam and Cas (or Dean, for that matter) aren't at each other's throats. If Dean was taking care of Sam/his legal guardian or whatever, that would be a bonus, but just generally happy (or at least not tragic :P) Dean/Cas with friendly/supportive Sam would be great.

2. Any fic where, for whatever reason, Bobby ends up raising the boys. John can give them up so they'll be safer, be abusive, or be dead, I'm not fussed, as long as Dean's still a teenager (or younger) when Bobby takes them in.

3. Probably more in AUs, but any fic where Sam and Dean have a sort of chosen family - Bobby, Jess, Adam, Cas, Lisa, Ellen or whomever - and that is WAFFy. Even if it's just one or two other people, where they bond and share the load and take them in - again, as long as it's not uberdark or tragic.

4. AUs where Dean is Sam's legal guardian (or not legal, but for all intents and purposes). They can be taken in or adopted by someone, but at least pre-story Dean is the sole carer for Sam.

5. Fic where Castiel is protective of either of the boys/defends them from someone.

6. And finally - fic, either pre-seasons 3/4 or AU where the boys aren't vessels, where they kill Lucifer or stop the Apocalypse, or where the apocalypse happens, normal people find out about everything and they don't have to be on the run. Realistic, gritty-ish fic is fine, but I don't want fic where the brothers die or are estranged for life or end up complete wrecks. Anything less dark would be great :D (as would Dean/Cas, but that's not a must).

No wincest for any recs, please. Cas/Dean and Sam/Jess are pluses, but gen or other pairings are fine.

Hi! I have been on a serious Castiel/Dean kick, and thanks to a certain playlist / reading combo, I am in the mood for some suicidal!Dean and savior!Castiel. I prefer AU but something in the canon 'verse works, too. A first meeting under those circumstances would be a fantastic bonus. Just either Castiel catching Dean doing/prepping for the act or Castiel catching on to Dean's suicidal ideation.
