I, uh, would really like to read it, but. See, I just don't understand death fics. I don't understand why people write them. I just - I can admit that there are a lot of them that are very well-written, but I can't find them enjoyable. I'm sure it's because of personal experiences, so. I guess that if I care about a character enough to read a fic, I'm emotionally attached enough to get hurt when they die. Like, I recently read a fic where Sam gets hurt and they have to stop hunting, and Sam finishes his education and Dean becomes a third grade teacher. And they're respected in a small town and they're happy, and then Dean gets hit by a car and dies. I loved the fic, and enjoyed it, and then that just hurt so bad. That was the main reason for the plea for recs, actually. I wanted to forget that fic existed.

Like, like, OK. Don't get me wrong, because it was beautifully written and in character - I just. I can't really handle death fics. *fragile*

NEVERMIND. I just cheated, like I do, and read the last part of the fic you just recced to spoil myself.

You met Gale Harold? He's doing plays, isn't he? To be honest, I haven't really kept up with him after QaF, but I'd love to hear that story.
