1. I've got a theory about how the rest of the season is going to pan out - specifically that Sam and Dean being soulmates (as mentioned/implied by Ash in 5.16) will be directly related to how they get Sam's soul back from the Box. I'm dying to read some fic along this line, but can't seem to find any. Any recs would be greatly appreciated!

I recently read this story and now cannot find it. Please help!

The story is a space AU with Jensen as the captain of a ship with regular delivery runs. He was a soldier with major body modifications and I think Jeff Morgan was onboard and also fought in the same war. Most of his crew is made up of individuals that few others hire on but he doesn't mind working within the parameters of their culture. Jensen and his crew find a small drifting ship that they salvage and happens to have a blank (databot?) and the pleasure slave Jared onboard. Jensen shoots the blank and brings Jared onboard. There is a power display where Jared is dressed up in a humiliating outfit and paraded in front of one of the powerful men in the system to show Jensen's power over the slave and hope to keep him. However, Jensen does this to protect Jared despite the relationship developing between them.

Maybe I can add some more clues:

It was written before October 2008, since it was one of the first fics I read after joining fandom. It's a shorter one, maybe 2-3 thousand words.

It's possible that it's not taking place in a hotel room, but at Jared's house (when Jensen moved in, but they are not together ), after a hard day of shooting, but my vote still goes to the hotel room.

If I remember correctly, there is a dialogue along the lines  ( Cut for nughtiness ) I don't know where I read it, possibly not on LJ but on FF.net or other.

Dean is weak and recovering from becoming Michael's vessel, and Sam and Cas really have to look after him because he can't do much in his condition (like he's so weak he can't even manage to finish his burger and he needs sleep like a baby).

It began : Jared and Jensen checking on JDM in the hospital, he's delirious and calling for John, continued as a flashback in which both John W. and JDM kept trancing out, hearing music and connecting- possibly something about coyote/tricksters involved?
Jeff was hurt/needed help because JDM had been kidnapped, Sam and Dean were with John there, they were staying with friends of John's that had a cabin near Vail, CO. At steakhouse near Vail John had somehow managed to pull JDM and his kidnappers all way into their universe and rescued him- and then the computer crashed and I lost the link/history/everything.
Does anybody recognize this one? I'm hoping someone has a link- I'd love to see how that all worked out!
I've tried to tag this appropriately, but it's a very odd set of circumstances. THanks for any help finding it again, though!

I'm back again. I need to drown my sorrows in the terribleness that was my social deviance exam this morning, and I figured fic was better than a case of corona and a hangover.
I'm looking for a couple of things, and if anyone could oblige, I'd be soooo grateful!

1. Dean with a daughter fic. My relationship with my dad (usually good) has not been so good lately, so anything where Dean's daughter is the centre of his universe would be great. Basically something that will rot my teeth!

2. I love girl!Dean/Cas with a passion. I've devoured quite a bit of it already, but I'll take anything y'all could send me. I especially love it when Dean was born a girl, and they're recognizably themselves, but still have a sweet/romantic relationship.

3. Anything else great! I love Castiel greatly, and I love the Dean/Cas dynamic even more. Anything featuring the relationship between the two would surely cheer me up after the spectacular fuck-up that was my exam this morning.

So I started reading this on one computer and now I'm on a different computer and want to know if it's been updated.

It's Sam/Dean (they're not related). Dean has taken over Singer Salvage after Bobby died in a hunt that left Dean permanently injured (leg/hip area). Sam was in an abusive relationship and left the guy and is running to keep his daughter safe. It's near Christmas time and Sam's car (the Impala) breaks down so Dean tow's to Bobby's and lets Sam and the daughter stay with him. I think there were like 3 chapters written and the author promised to have it done before Christmas. I feel fairly certain that the word 'Gift' was in the title.

Hokay. This is my first time posting here, and it feels really momentous. I'm all nervous and stuff.

Anyway.

The first fic had the two boys staying at a motel for a span, and Dean worked in the restaurant attached to the motel. Then they payed for their room by helping the owner remodel a couple of the rooms. I clearly remember one scene where Dean got really sick and couldn't breathe, and started having a panic attack. Sam ran for the owner, and she talked Dean through it and calmed him down. They eventually regarded the motel owner and her family as close friends, almost family, and came back pretty frequently. I remember they were both deaged, Sam to a five-year-old and later Dean to a teenager.

The next fic was a future fic, and it had ghost!Sam crop up every so often and ask for his brother. All the people they'd saved over the years banded together to try and figure out how to put his spirit to rest, and I think Michael from "Something Wicked" was an old man and the spokesperson at the end.

I think they were both gen, and outside POV.

I'm dieing for some classic casefics (slash/het/gen whatever) that either don't have angst about major issues i.e., Dean going to hell, Sam's blood addiction, the apocalypse, etc. or at least not a main issue. They should have been put on line within the last year (probably not the Big Bangs); if earlier not the main sites unless really under-appreciated, I've read thousands of stories and all the classic casefics. They don't even have to be great stories, just fair to good.
