I am looking for a specific j2 au ficlet in which Jensen comes out to Jared. As far as I remeber it was based on some quotation ("Today I came out to my best friend..." or something similar). I think it was written in first person, from Jensen's point of view. He planned to meet Jared in the park where they used to play as kids (near the swings, I think). Jensen was nervous because they used to go to the same church group so he was afraid Jared would not accept him being gay. The ficlet ended with the boys kissing.

I have a general and rather vague request -

A lot of fics (that we know and love) tend to feature the boys as quite effeminate, either purposefully or because the dialogue just ends up there. I know you all know what I mean :) I'm looking AU J2-falling-in-love fics where the boys are quite masculine - even stereotypically so - in behavior, without the over-the-top lovey declarations or overly detailed emotional analysis. they don't have to be jocks or marines or whatnot, just believably manly ... basically, well written as guys. thanks!
