I don't remember the title, but that sounds really familiar. I think it IS J2 and I am pretty sure that line was spoken by Chris. For some reason I am thinking he was talking to Jensen though referring to Jared. At least the one I am thinking of was... like Jensen was miserable and dodging everyone and people were worried about Jared because he was so upset.

Not sure that I will remember, but maybe it'll help someone else.

me too! but this is just to comment that I love your Chris icon. I just checked and saw that you've got Jensen in some pretty pics, not that seeing pretty Jensen is much of a surprise... lol. These guys are. Pretty. One of my favorite things about LJ is checking out the comments and seeing all the creative and amazing things that pop up as icons. It's corny sounding to say, but don't you just love this fandom?

Hey, thanks for sharing the link to this story. It isn't the one I'm so desperate to find, but I enjoyed it just the same. I don't know if there even exists a wrong way to read J2 fic, the CW crew lends itself conveniently to being paired up. I've gotten so many recs from reading requests on this list it isn't even funny any longer.

I'm still on the quest to find that story, but really, thank you for a fun detour!
