More than second "The doors of Time". If you ever want to emerge in a story and crave more hours to the day so you can keep on reading this story, this is the one. It has everything a great noel would need, and it is so lovely, sad and still hopeful. A pleasure to read, with great writing and a great idea behind it.

For some reasons, I love "Veterns of the psychic war" http://community.livejournal.com/psychicwar/3181.html Awesome AU set in the future. Psions are drafted to help shielding the outposts of humanity against outside (alien) attackers. For most Psychics, a bonded partner, their guardian, is a given, mostly family. Not always though, and Jared, young and still hopeful, wouldn't have dreamed of finding one. Least of all the antisocial Jen. Awesome, action-packed, would make a great movie.

"Doors of Time" is what really got me into J2 in the first place.
I would highly recommend reading that first.
It is easily the best fanfiction I have ever read.
I can't even explain to you my feelings toward that story,
I have never cried or laughed so hard at a piece of fanfiction.
And I know for a fact that the author wants to make it into a novel.

J2 authors are some of the best writers I have ever run across.

OMG you have GOT to listen to SomeoneYou Might Have Been by fleshflutter!! fayjay is the only reader I'll listen to, she's one of the best :) There's a link to the text version there too, but I highly recc the podfic version. It's epic and heartbreaking and suspenseful not to mention funny.

Oh gosh, it took me soooo long to get into J2 (or just the idea of rpf at all). I just couldn't get past the squicky feeling of wierd creepy stalkerness but eventually I got over it!

The first RPF fic I EVER read (because it made me) was "just a coat of paint underneath the fly on the wall" by vorpal blades and even though I tried to pretend it was an accident and didn't count I was hooked.
They told him to steer clear of the internet; they warned him, but Misha just couldn't help himself and now he cant help but see things he's not sure are really there.
Misha's reaction to the internet and to his first weeks on set with the boys.
