Would you all be willing to indulge? I'd love stories from back just after season 4 ended, up to just before season 5 started, when we had no idea how Sam and Dean were going to get out of that particular mess, with the Lucifer rising in front of them.

No "Dean and Sam are enemies", no "Sam is evil and Dean is perfect" and I would really prefer gen. Castiel on their side is great, and maybe even some "Lucifer isn't really the evil one". Dark Sam and Dean is fine, as long as they're still Sam and Dean together.

Basically, I just want some slightly older stories, from before we knew Sam and Dean were vessels. Rec me your favorites from that time!
