Overcoming Religious Obstacles
Hey guys,

I'm looking for fic where the characters' religion gets in the way of their relationship. I'm interested in reading about how they deal with the places where their religion and their love lives conflict, and how they overcome that obstacle, whether it be by finding a way to reconcile their faith and their relationship, or by leaving the church. Preference for coming of age type stories. I really love The Greatest of These is Love.

Any rating, length or pairing will do, though the request skews towards slash or femslash (if you rec me femslash I will love you forever) and probably RPF. Self-recs welcome.

Thanks!

Castiel was eleven years old when he first felt there was something wrong with him. He's twenty-nine, a Roman Catholic priest in a small New England village, before Dean Winchester shows him that there isn't. 61k

Screw You, We're From Texas by [livejournal.com profile] makeit_takeit, J2. Overcoming the biases, prejudices and mentality that a conservative christian religious upbringing and family breed plays a big part of the story. IMO, this is one of the best J2 fics around.
