I'm afraid I don't really read a lot of Supernatural fanfiction - and this fandom seems huge and confusing right now - but I have read and loved this one fic I would like to recommend to someone. Only I remember neither the name of the fic, nor the title.


Once when John left Dean to take care of Sam while they were kids, Dean kept going to a diner.  The waitress was very nice, she kept feeding him for free, hoping he wouldn't end up like other kids that were coming there at night - rentboys, though I believe that was more hinted than stated. But it wasn't enough and in the end Dean went out with this guy that was looking at him. He almost got eaten, but the waitress saved his life. Much later, Dean joins a lumberjack crew to get to this thing - and Sam joins a planting trees group so they would stay close. The first part when they are children and the second part when they are grownups are told bit by bit, in turns and some of it is in waitress's pov.

It's a long, well written story but it's been awhile so that's all I've got. And I meant what I said in the title, this isn't a werewolf story, the monster is the Big Bad Wolf, just like in Little Red Riding Hood.
