Yeah I've read some of these ones before. They're not particularly dark as you've said, but they're lots of fun, aren't they? I did enjoy how they all thought Jensen was an airhead, only to later realise the truth.

I'll admit it took a few tries for me to get the hang of the slang used, but once I had that down I really enjoyed this.

I've just finished reading this and OMG! Dark Night (http://crynintherain.livejournal.com/101882.html) by cryingintherain. Summary: A J2 retelling of "From Dusk Til Dawn" Escaped convicts Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are on the run after a bank robbery. After taking a group of college kids hostage they head to Mexico and to freedom. The only thing standing between it and them is a bar full of vampires. To survive the night Jared and Jensen will have to team up with the hostages in order to make it out alive. Psycho boys = ♥♥♥

Also. Kill Shot, It’s a Matter of Finesse (http://maryjo24.livejournal.com/5967.html) by maryjo24. Summary: Jensen and Jared are psychopaths who hunt and kill human prey. JD Morgan is the local crime lord who gets a hold of a compromising sex tape, and uses it in an attempt to blackmail Jensen.

I really enjoyed 'Dark Night', and I've never read something where Jensen's depicted as being so unstable but still do devoted to Jared. Really enjoyed that.
As for 'Kill Shot, It's a Matter of Finesse', I had actually read this one ages ago but lost it. So thanks for finding it again for me. I really enjoying being able to read it again :)

My absolute favorite of this genre is Darker Shade of Black (http://smiley.zonezine.net/html/DarkerShadeBlack.html) by sardonicsmiley. (She deleted her lj account, but the link is to her webpage.) It's wincest and absolutely terrifying.

(I heartily second paxlux's 'Howl' series and sonofabiscuit's 'All in the Game,' and the new leonidaslion fic was also pretty decent.)

For J2, I recommend the Black Cartel (http://dishonestdreams.livejournal.com/tag/setting:%20black%20cartel%20verse) series by dishonestdreams. I found the first section a little hard to get through, but as the story develops--gah, the subject matter is worth it. Trust me on this one.

Oh, I loved 'Hedonistic'! I love pretty much anything by this author. It's an amazing story. Thanks for the rec prompting me to re-read it :)
