This is an old fic but I was reading a deafSam fic and it made me think of it. 

Jensen was deaf due to a disease he was suffering from, he was a writer for Supernatural and didnt leave his house much.  Jared meets and falls in love with Jensen (I think Jared still played Sam) Jensen try's discourage Jared by sleeping with a guy in the Greenhouse knowing Jared would catch them. I also remember some Jared cared about got hurt or dead and Jensen travelled on a train to comforting him even though it hurt him to travel. It was a fic with quite a few chapters and the normal cast of Fic characters.
