I have no stories to offer, only hugs; I'm lactose intolerant and my mom's got celiac, and she was JUST told no dairy either. There's some GF dairy-free chocolate cookies in the health aisle of any supermarket that are actually really good; I wind up stealing them more often than not from my mom. Things she likes to eat are from Amy's, Newman's Own, GlutenFreeda, among others. They're all really good, I promise. Good luck with it and your fic search! :)

Replying here in the faint hope that both of you get my message (though honestly I don't know, I don't get LJ XD) - I have no fics to offer either, but I'm seriously considering writing some because allergies play such a large part in my life. I've been allergic to milk, wheat, rye, barley, eggs and nuts for all my life, so I can sympathize... though I don't really know what I'm missing, it must be so much harder for you. .__.

Perhaps you'll learn to like dark chocolate? There are many that are completely milk-free. I know that milk chocolate-lovers usually find it a little bitter at first, but it's can be delicious, too. And you could always try to ease your chocolate graving by drinking chocolate-flavored soy milk. :3 I actually really like it.

In fact, I think I'll start thinking about that allergy-related fic just about now... I also think I saw an allergy tag in some fic comm, I'll inform you if I happen to find it again.

And look at that, there's an "affliction: allergic reaction" tag just there on the right. XD Tried that yet?
