So, by all rights, I should've found this by now considering the number of details I have on this fic, but for some inane reason, I haven't, and I don't remember the title or author.


1. Michael first contacted Dean when Dean was 7yo (I think) and protected Dean and guided him in using angelic power for self-defense and on hunts. I also remember this one scene where Dean is in trouble, and when he calls for Michael for help, Michael stands by to see if Dean can use the power without being so dependent on him. I think Dean ends up getting beat up. I'm pretty sure Sam knew about the special abilities stuff that Dean used on hunts, and I am tentatively sure that John did not know about it. Michael is actually not terrible in this fic, and as he lends Dean power to protect Sam, Michael also grows protective of Sam. It ended like this: come the Apocalypse, Michael takes down Lucifer and himself in the process. And since the Winchesters have grown on Michael who is much more sympathetic than canon, this is bittersweet. If my memory is true, I read this on LJ and it was a moderately lengthy oneshot. Also, I think the summary mentioned that Michael/Heaven "cheated" (that was the exact word) and started things early.

Then there's this one scene I remember very clearly, though it may or may not be in the above mentioned fic. Dean was learning a Latin exorcism from Gabriel (I am very sure it was Gabriel, because of what happens next, but I could be wrong. It might be Michael, but I don't think it is) and it goes on for hours until Dean gets it exactly right. Once Dean can recite it perfectly, Gabriel zaps the entire Latin language into Dean's head.

2. Also, I only started to love Adam after I realized that was Jake Abel, aka Luke Castellan from the Percy Jackson series, whose story is only slightly less tragic than Adam's, and Luke's heroic, happy ending was suicide. Yes, it was very heroic. I'm kinda having trouble finding stories where Adam lives happily ever after (and yeah, the Winchester bros are NEVER getting a happily ever after, but that doesn't stop fanfic writers). And by that I mean that, yeah, Adam's had a few run-ins with the hunting world and it's majorly screwed him over, but somehow that's overcome or something and he can just chill the rest of his life. Or, he does become a hunter. The most well-adjusted hunter in the world (which kinda makes him a freak, I think). And also gen fics. I'm not really looking for romance to hijack the plot. Also, this is not a h/c request.
