I just finished reading a wonderful story who's last chapter was just posted at Twisting the Hellmouth (www.tthfanfic.org). It's called The Lightning Strike, written by noturbaby, and I do recommend it. On the outs with Sam who's left for Stanford and left behind by his father, a bereft Dean if driving through a hurricane storm when he finds a young woman lying in the middle of the road. He takes her to the hospital and when she wakes up she has no idea who she is or how she got there. (This is where Buffy landed when she jumped off Glory's tower.) Dean helps here remember her name and they become friends, and then lovers. What I need is help finding the artwork and the alternate ending mentioned at the beginning and end. They're ready to make a life together when a) Willow performs the spell to pull Buffy out of presumed Hell and b) Dean wakes up from his months long coma from wrecking the Impala on the rain slick road.

There's a different ending is on livejournal as part of the sncross big bang and livejournal has artwork for the story by TwistedSlinky. I've googled with no results. Hopefully someone can provide me with the lj addresses for these.
