Hi! you can find gen fics on DeanDamage.com it is center around Dean tho but you can also look on FanFiction.Net they have alot of communities to choose from. Your friend could probably find a wealth of fics on there. I hope this helps.

I haven't read any of those authors! I'll check them out.

Gen writers are much under-recognized in this fandom, I think. I even used to write quite a bit of it myself, once upon a time. :)

nearlynina recommended ficwriter1966's "Dean and the Company picnic" above (which is awesome), and I would go ahead and recommend looking through all her work. She's written a huge number of stories, and though I've only just begun to work my way through them, I haven't yet found one I haven't enjoyed. She's got them well-organized, too, into pre-series, then by season and some by theme. From what I've seen it's mostly gen, and where not, it's well-marked. This writer seems to have a gift for writing funny with heart and drama with enough humour to make it feel real, and excellent characterization.
