Found! Specific fic: Lenore turns Sam into a vampire  
I am looking for an old fanfic where Lenore turns Sam into a vampire in an attempt to show him and Dean that vampires are not all evil (or something along those lines). I remember that Sam went back to the hotel room afterwards, and I think(?) Gordon was still there, so he had to wait. I also believe that he turned Dean into a vampire later and that the story was Wincest, but I'm not entirely sure.

It was fairly long, and I've been searching for it all week with no luck! Does anyone remember this story?

Hrm, I haven't read this fic myself, but I used my Google Fu and came up with this:

That was not it, but thanks to you I thought to check the "character turned into a vampire" tag on AO3 and found it! (For some reason I was sure that it was only on ff.net) I had checked probably all the other vampire tags, but not that one.

The fic I was looking for is The Great Roots of Night: http://archiveofourown.org/works/259439. One of the reasons I liked it was that it was startlingly low on angst over the whole vampire thing AND the whole incest thing. A breath of fresh air for me, considering I pretty much have a permanent residence in angst-ville.

Hey, I'm still going to check out that story you linked too. It looks interesting, and now that I'm not preoccupied with the search for this fic, I have time to check out others!
