I'm looking for a couple of fics I had saved, but I've lost them...in them Sam was left alone with John (because Dean was kicked out/went to college/joined the army) and Dean finds out that Sam has been being severly abused by John, both physically and mentally. I remember in one, Dean was in the army and his army buddies helped find Sam and look after him, whilst being on the run for John, and in another, or possibly the same one, John had cut Sams fingers off on one hand?
