The very first fic that I thought of when I saw this request was 'No Line on the Horizon'. I get through boxes of tissues, and yet I still go back and re-read it.

But it's definitely worth buying the boxes of tissues. It's one of the few stories I go back to from time to time as well.

Dean's latest tragedy made me think of an awesome demon!Dean fic by runedgirl called 'Fade To Black' and a sequel called 'Black Is The Colour of My True Loves Eyes.' Lots of sad Sam, scary and angry Dean and brotherly love/hate/angst! Here's the summary

'The brother that Sam gets back isn’t the same, but Sam’s love is. Sam risks everything and leaves everyone he’s ever cared about behind in the desperate hope that the bond between him and Dean might just be strong enough to transcend what hell did to his brother.
