For Greek Mythology, there's also The Lengths I would Go that was written for the 2011 spn_j2_bigbang that was a 300k+ J2 RPF that had a ton of Greek gods (with Jensen as Apollo).

Actually just checked the author's livejournal again and she asked to not share publicly but was okay with sharing it privately. It's the sick verse by writeatmidnight. I know there's an old post on the spn finder somewhere where someone links the pdf out. If you really want to read you can search it on google or I can give you the link to the pdf via email or something. :) It's very cute and sweet and I thought it sort of fit the 'first kiss' thing.

...I know this is an incredibly old post, but...if you're still around... This fic is one of my all-time favorite SPN ones.

And just so you get an idea of what I think of this fanfic, here's what I said about it on Tumblr when I first reblogged it:

Emotional catharsis for Dean, with comforting Cas. Bromance only, no Destiel, but this bromance…it’s so deep, so…well…profound. A wonderful, wonderful exploration of their bond, in a way that doesn’t even need romance. I’m the first to ship (though no, I don’t ship them), the first to admit that romantic love is a beautiful, wonderful, powerful thing. But other kinds of love can be just as amazing, and this…this is proof.

This is just…gaaah. It’s my new favorite fanfic. I CANNOT EVEN right now. The writing is absolutely beautiful. The emotions are vivid. The characters are gloriously IC. And the hurt/comfort is just… *shakes head*

This is one of those fics that makes me happy as both a mature writer and a flailing fangirl. It’s one of those fics that makes me never want to read a fic like it again, both because I’m afraid this one will kind of fade into the mess of fanfics I’ve read (even though that’s a total lie, because this will stick out to me forever), and because I’m so completely and totally satisfied by it. It’s everything I want in a fanfic. Probably one of my favorites forever. It’s just…fantastic.
