Sick! Dean, Permanent Injury Dean  
I hope you can help me out! I love me some Dean whumpage, but I love strong Dean too!
No.1 : I have dealt with asthma and would love to read some asthmatic Dean. I have read some short one shots and I will not reject good recs for those, but I am looking for something a bit longer. They do not have to be as long as the wonderful Sammy Verse by Kira! But a story that really describes the issue would be great.

No:2 Any recs for our wonderful Dean dealing with a permanent injury would be much appreciated. I like him overcoming his problems- even if it is a slow process, realism is important. Things I love are Ratherastory's Fusion verse, Stairway verse by NwspaprTaxis and of course Roque_clasique's Drive verse

John need not feature, I am not his biggest fan :-) Happiest with Dean/Cas pairing but happy with none too!

Have you read Westcott Prepatory Academy (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/3549161/1/Westcott-Prepatory-Academy) and it's sequel? That's one of my favourite Dean!whump verses. It's set pre-series and John does feature heavily in it, but if you haven't read it, I suggest you give it a try. It's a slow process of Dean dealing with diabetes and it tackles the issues very realistically and it's more permanent illness than injury, but it's amazing and long (200k+)

O wow thanks! I think that many moons ago on my previous almost dead computer I book marked it, may have even read the start. Now I get double treat of a sequel! Cheers!

Alas, I don't think the sequel, Camp Sunshine (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4395123/1/Camp-Sunshine), is finished - there's 10 chapters over on ff.net though and it's still a good read!

The first Supernatural fanfiction story I ever read included an asthmatic Dean. It's post-apocalyptic so there's no medical care available making Dean's asthma very difficult to deal with. There is some Wincest--the brothers are in a loving relationship but there's no overly explicit sex. I'll let you be the judge. It's called Something Gold (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7912945/1/Something-Gold) and it remains my favorite story.
