How long do you consider a "long" fic to be?

I have a 20,500-word canon fic, set in Season 5, that I wrote based on Season 5. But I'm not sure whether that would be long enough or not.

Coming in months later to offer up PosingAsMe's "Before 200... (http://archiveofourown.org/series/188135)" series... in-universe, canon-divergent fiction starting before episode 200. Really awesome, really long! The fourth part is still in progress, but each story is self-contained!
