Hi guys, I'm looking for two none specific stories.

2. Sam with a permanent injury and/or disability.

Apologies if the tags are slightly sparse, I'm on mobile.

Shattered (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9670271/1/Shattered)
Sam didn't look for Dean the year they were apart. He didn't now he was supposed to.

Proud Parents (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4369755/1/Proud_Parents)
Mrs Williams's class will never been quite the same again!

Hope (http://septembers-coda.livejournal.com/5845.html)
Sam’s got his soul back, but it’s not easy living with what he did while his soul was trapped in the Cage. When one consequence of his lost year lands in his lap, the Winchesters’ whole world is thrown into turmoil.

It Was a Dark and Stormy Night (http://winchesterpooja.livejournal.com/20650.html)
He sighed. The eyes, the dimples, the stubborn crankiness… they had a mini, female Sam in their hands. This was going to be hard.

Sam's soulless days come to catch up with him and the Winchesters find themselves in a situation: Sam has a toddler daughter. There are difficult times and sad times, and then there are times with cuddles, bathtub babbles and wild ponytails on Sam's hair. He realises this might be the best and worst thing in his life all at once.

Finding Normal (http://annie-46fic.livejournal.com/269815.html)
Sam finds out that there is something else Ruby was hiding from him. Can he & Dean make a home for the child he never knew he had? He might have cured his brother once but the Mark of Cain still haunts the Winchesters and it's dark shadow hangs over every move they make. Sam wants to keep his daughter but, deep down, he knows he will never 'Find Normal'

I have a few more you might like here (https://delicious.com/chellexxx1/Parent%2FGuardian!Sam)

For #2: Sam with a permanent injury and/or disability
* Gifts (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4591526/1/Gifts): Dean discovers sometimes the greatest sacrifices aren't that big after all, and the smallest gifts can make all the difference.

* Catching Hell (http://archiveofourown.org/works/4400237): AU. Sam Winchester is, perhaps, the greatest asset to the hunting community. His research, advice, and insight has reached countless hunters and solved innumerable mysteries. His life is solitary, but useful. That changes, however, with the delivery of a captured Knight of Hell who calls himself Dean.

* Voice Through the Smoke (http://archiveofourown.org/works/3962224): Blinded & cursed by a member of the Stynasty, Sam relies on his brother for support.

* The Space Around Him (http://archiveofourown.org/works/489026): Two years ago Sam Winchester went blind after an opportunistic infection ruined his optic nerve. He and Dean have since settled down, but Sam's still struggling to learn the difference between adapting and coping. Fortunately, he has an awesome brother, a therapist, a few exotic dancers, and a canary named Phil to help him out.

* Broken (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4196605/1/Broken): Dean and Sam split up after Azazel's death with harsh words and anger. When Dean runs into Sam again, he blames Sam for not having his back... only to find out that in the time he's been gone, Sam's suffered a life-and-mobility-threatening injury.

* Pins & Needles (http://teashopmuses.livejournal.com/25737.html): A lot can change in an instant. Six months ago, Sam was injured in the course of a hunt that went terribly wrong. Now, there's something in the woods of Michigan's upper peninsula, stalking, beating, and killing people in the tiny town of Big Bay. A retired hunter calls Sam and Dean in to investigate, but they're also still dealing with the aftermath of that hunt-gone-wrong, and the effect it's had on their relationship.

* Sufferance (http://utsusemia.livejournal.com/41462.html): Sam is quick with the lock, which is barely more trouble than a toothpick in a hole, and lets Dean stagger a little to the bed while he gets his med kit from the car. Dean probably saw his brother's ludicrous yuppie car in the lot when he pulled in. He should have noticed it, seen how different it was from the rusted pickups that usually inhabit back-country motel lots. He should have seen and gotten the hell out of dodge, because now he's here with his brother and there's worry and secrets and pain and responsibility and all that older brother shit he's spent one year, six months and eighteen days running from. (Season 5 AU)

If you don't mind wincest, Sam ends up raising a kid in runedgirl's 143 Alice Grim Lane (http://runedgirl.livejournal.com/56269.html): "Sam Winchester changed his name before he got to Stanford. Now Samuel Francis Wesson is a rising star at a California law firm with a reputation for championing the underdogs and bringing down the bad guys. He and Jess have a neon blue hybrid with a bike rack on top, and a cozy red stucco house with built-in bookshelves and hanging baskets of bougainvillea on the front porch. Sam Wesson has everything he ever wanted, except for the one thing he knew he shouldn’t. Dean is still a Winchester, still a hunter, still in love with Sam and determined not to admit it. Years of avoiding each other and their true feelings have left Sam and Dean strangers. But when Sam’s luck changes and tragedy finds him, he turns in desperation to the older brother he walked away from years ago, hoping that the bond forged between them in childhood will prove strong enough to bring them back together." (Sam/Dean)

Lessons Learned (http://lyra-wing.livejournal.com/35957.html) by lyra_wing is a favorite that contains both Sam with a permanent injury and Sam as a sort of pseudo-father/hunting-trainer: "Six years later, and the hunt is over for Sam and Dean. But it's just beginning for Michael, and he goes looking for the guys who helped him all those years ago." (Sam/Dean, but very minor)

There's a couple post-apocalypse fics that involve Sam/Dean/Jess having children, both of which I really enjoyed - Imagine the Houses (http://elohvee.livejournal.com/397032.html) by elohvee and Like Luggage of Some Departed Traveler (http://britomart-is.livejournal.com/180851.html) by britomart_is. (Sam/Dean/Jess)

I also really loved Fade to Black (http://runedgirl.livejournal.com/45473.html) and Black is the Color of My True Love's Eyes (http://runedgirl.livejournal.com/48284.html) by runedgirl: "The brother that Sam gets back isn’t the same, but Sam’s love is. Sam risks everything and leaves everyone he’s ever cared about behind in the desperate hope that the bond between him and Dean might just be strong enough to transcend what hell did to his brother." (Sam/Dean, Sam/Dean/Ruby; heed the warnings on this one, but it does have a happy ending)

The Best Gift of All Verse (http://archiveofourown.org/series/185471) by virtualpersonal and brimstonegold: "Sam runs away from and abusive relationship, taking his daughter with him. On the road and trying to get as far as possible on limited funds, his car breaks down. Against his better judgment, Dean, a mostly retired hunter and the town mechanic, offers to let them stay with him until repairs can be made." (AU; unrelated Sam/Dean)

I'm really enjoying The Sam Winchester School of Hunting (http://archiveofourown.org/series/117172) by liron_aria (it's an ongoing series), in which Sam takes in a bunch of hunters' kids and supernatural children. (gen; not always Dean-positive)

Treasure (http://sonofabiscuit77.livejournal.com/45441.html) bu sonofabiscuit77: "It’s 2018 and the human race is almost extinct, wiped out by a mutant threat not even the angels saw coming. Sam and Dean live on a military compound, one of the few remaining human communities still fighting for survival. Dean is one of the military leaders, dedicated to wasting as many of the mutants he can, while Sam, permanently injured and confined to the base, is desperately searching for the answer that will save what’s left of humanity, and finally bring both boys the peace they crave." (Sam/Dean)

Seconding the recs for Sufferance and Catching Hell, both of which are faves.
