i'm looking for 1 specific fic and would love your help with 2 more general searches.

1 It was a human!cas/dean, probably on ao3, Dean was hunting alone and had been wounded, human!cas found him and brought him home. I think Cas was a librarian, his family rejected him because of his homosexuality. In the end he decided to follow Dean and to become a hunter. i think Sam and John met Cas at some point but I'm not sure.
