I was going to say I thought you may have mixed up a couple of stories! I'm glad you got one sorted out. I believe the second (Jared turning a city to metal) is Naked Under Here (http://fleshflutter.livejournal.com/158348.html) by fleshflutter, but it's not a big part of the story, but rather part of the backstory.

Do you have a link to the one where Jensen is kidnapped by an ex? I can't recall if I've read it.

I also second the recs list from the first comment, and also want to add a rec for The Jolly Roger (http://archiveofourown.org/works/1994493/chapters/4320768). Take heed of the warnings, in case it's not your thing, but a great story about superpowers in a slave-driven society.

I saw the one by fleshflutter unfortunately that is not the one I'm looking for, the one I'm looking for actually goes into detail about Jared turning the city into metal, or almost turning the city into metal I don't think he actually does it. Now that you've mentioned it's not Naked Under Here, that other story is pinging in my brain... but for the life of me I can not recall it. Still, you've put me on a superpowers kick, so if I come across it I'll definitely let you know!

Now evil is out to hunt Jared, and everything he loves and everything he didn’t know he wanted but now can’t imagine life without. And really, he’s all for dying for his true love, his child, and maybe the world, but at least someone could have warned him before fate offered him up to be the modern day James fucking Potter.
