I love the outsider's point of views too. I just thought of another one you may like. It is an AU where John doesn't take the boys on the road, and how their lives would have been different, but sort of the same too. It's Infrangible Road by Dayspring.

Very well written and true to their personalities. I love how Dean is still the quintessential Dean even when raised with more stability.
