Old Story  
Hey all! So I read a story years ago about a young Sam being taken by cultists or something and offered to Loki - Gabriel - who is angry, kills the cultists, and saves him. I could be mixing up stories, but I think John might have been abusive.... Did I just make that up in my head or does it really exist? :)

Was it 'Of Hunters and Tricksters? Summary: Sam met Gabriel when he was 10 (and Gabriel was still a Trickster). However, Gabriel still protected Sam for the next eight years. They get together. Somehow John finds out and tries to convince Sam to kill Gabriel, and that's what brought on the Stanford argument.
