Summary: The same old Sam/Dean love story, with a darkfic twist. Sam grows up in a concentration camp for monsters, and Dean is raised as an only child and a hunter. Together, they make each other human.

The Devil's Mark by ninhursag on Ao3.

Summary: AU. In a broken world, Dean buys back his long missing brother. But worlds don't break by accident and Sam disappeared for a reason. If Dean can save his brother then he can start to think about saving the world.

Amaurosis by Sanshal on Ao3.

Summary: Seers are individuals blessed with some remarkable ability (think X-men) but are born blind (Amaurotic blindness is a marker for the Seers, in this world.). Most families have their "seer" children taken away at birth by the government. A few families avoid having their children born in the hospital and if they have a "seer" baby they try to hide them. The government raises the children to use their abilities and matches them up with hunters… Sadly, since most hunters become so after suffering from some personal tragedy; they are rarely known for their compassion. Seers tend to have a short life span, being mistreated, or used as bait or just getting killed by the thing that they are hunting.

Sam was lucky to escape being taken by the government at birth and then managed to stay off-grid. Once an adult, he managed to get in with an underground organization that helped seers from being caught.
Dean is a hunter who has recently lost his seer and requires a replacement urgently; but he doesn't have the time or energy to deal with the Government. He has a contact who works with an organization that hides seers and strikes a deal to obtain one.

#3 The Road Rhythm Outro by brokenlittleboy on Ao3.

Summary: Set after season three. A routine hunt goes horribly wrong when Dean decides to engineer their plan in a way that will get Sam to deliver the killing shot. After Sam confesses that he wants them to leave the life, Dean is convinced that by letting Sam be hero and save the day, Sam will change his mind. But he doesn't account for a break in a balcony railing and one completely broken little brother. Things go beyond their control and the two of them must settle down in a quiet town in Michigan, but Dean's harboring guilt and Sam is so, so, so lost, and he doesn't understand why Dean avoids him or why their road life has fizzled away. A curtain fic dealing with permanent injury, angst, and various types of trauma, and fluffy domesticity.

I need to piggyback on number 2 of this request. I've read it, I just can't find it.

John drags a kid back to camp--no, not a kid, he's a lillim (lilim--something ending in a lim)--started out human but developed powers. All of those are classed non-human, owned, sold and loaned. Hunters use their visions to find prey. They're basically slaves.

Dean feels sorry for the kid, who's about the age Sam would be if he hadn't died in the fire. Kid knows what he is and doesn't want to open up to Dean, but of course he does. And then John sells him back to the hunter he bought him from.

Does this ring any bells for anybody? Ticks me off I didn't bookmark it when I read it.
