Sam and/or Dean plays an instrument  
Recently, I read a piece of wincest in which Sam played a violin. I really liked the idea! I went through old requests on here for them playing instruments, and haven't found much. Does anyone have anything else?

My only request in this is that it not be a guitar or a piano. Those are the bulk of what I've found.

self-consious Jensen  
Hi guys! I'm feeling kind of down today so I could use a good pick me up. I'd love to read some high school or college J2 AU's or non-AU's where Jensen is quiet, shy, self-conscious and has a low self esteem, but is unknowingly adorable. He could be self-conscious about anything, but I'd be really happy if he was self-conscious about his looks and/or artistic talents. And by artistic talents I mean it'd be awesome if he was a musician, artist, and/or writer but doesn't feel like he's any good at it and is constantly worried about what people think of him. And if Jared comes into the picture and comforts and encourages him well then that would be just perfect! No pre-established relationship fics, in fact, some pinning on Jensen's end would be awesome. Angst is great, but I need happy endings with lots of schmoop please. No WIPs, but self-recs are welcomed. Thank you!

Motoque deleted fic  
So, I have a feeling that this fic was deleted a while ago, but on the off chance that someone has it, I'm asking here.

Does anyone have a saved link/file for a fic called Candence by [livejournal.com profile] motoque?
The end of the world is here, and Sam and Dean are searching through the destruction and chaos for signs of life. While Dean tries desperately to hold onto his brother, Sam holds tightly to what little beauty is still left in the world.

As far as I can remember, it was post apocalyptic and Sam played every piano he came across. I don't think he was quite right either, but mostly I remember the pianos.

(And a general shout out to the mods! New tagging system is awesome :D)

Musical/singing Dean stories  
Was reading something last night which made me think of this request... Are there any fics out there that involve Dean singing or playing a musical instrument? Doesn't have to be a major focus of the story. Could be set when the boys were children (in fact, Dean singing to Sam would be adorable) or as adults. I don't really have any other criteria - I just want to read something that has Dean singing, although I'd love it if he was singing well and maybe making money from it - busking, whatever. Also will be happy with Dean having and demonstrating other musical talent such as playing an instrument or writing music. Frustrated musician angst would be delightful. Not bothered whether it's slash or gen but no het please (unless it's super terrifically well written).

Dancing Dean (hidden talents) &fics focused on looks  
I've just finished a fic where Sam gets Dean to try out for American Idol. It got me thinking about Dean have a special talent. I've read a lot of fics in the past where Jensen or Jared are dancers or at least can dance. Are there any out there where Dean is the one dancing? I'll take any kind of special/hiddentalent!Dean fics you've got. If it's Sam who has the talent and maybe Dean encouraging or discovering it, I'll take that too.

( Concerning 7.01 but not really a spoiler... )
There also been a lot of talk after 7.01 about how shaggy Dean's hair was in the episode (YAY! XD). Any fics that deal with something like that? Dean growing/changing his hair? Or maybe the boys having to change how they look for a job or to stay hidden from the FBI?

looking for a specific J2 fic  
I thought it was Zubenfic, but it doesn't seem to be; I think I was conflating it with her airport-'verse. The story I'm looking for is a cute little thing that was apparently based on the author's own experience on the plane ride from hell - she made it all better in the fic with cute boys and flirting via iPod selections.

I remember particularly that the song "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To" was included.

Does anyone have a clue what I'm talking about?

I'm looking for a specific fic. I believe it's J2, where jensen is a violinist and jared was a cellist in a city orchestera and they go to the same school. Jared is a freshman and jensen is a senior, and when jensefinds out he tries to break up with him.

Punk/Goth/Mod HS Wincest?  
1. I have read a couple J2 fics that feature Jensen as Goth or Punk. What I am wondering is if there are any high school fics that feature DEAN as Punk, Goth, Tattooed, pierced, mod, etc. Essentially really into the music of the scene or just the fashion. I am looking for Wincest, but if there is a particularly good Gen story I'm open to that as well.

2. Failing that, please rec me your favorite Punk, Goth or Mod Jensen Fics. (J2 only please)

Lost J2 band!AU  
Hi guys, would anyone know how I'd be able to get hold of The Kennedy Curse by [livejournal.com profile] buttoneddown? I found the link on a J2 Recs list but the link is broken and I can't find it on her journal. At the time of the list being made it was a WIP. If someone has it, that would be epic. There wasn't an anuthor given summery but it's a band AU and the rec list summery was:

Dean's tape collection of win  
So I'm back!! This time with a general and specific fic search :D
 
1. So, I'm looking for fics that focus on Dean's taste in music. I know that this issue comes up in most fics but I'm really craving something that has scenes like Dean drumming on the steering wheel, singing loudly (and awesomely, but I really don't care if it says he's a horrible singer), and just rocking out in the driver's seat and being Dean *-* Maybe scenes where they argue over music or something where maybe Sam finds Dean's tapes in the Impala after his Deal comes to a close and he listens to it etc? I also sorta want something like, In the Days of Sam and Dean, them on the highway and passing the time with car games, music, and ribbing each other; scenes like the one in the beginning of 'Hell House' would be AWESOME :D 
 
I really miss the old days, where our only worries were visions and the yed, where the boys were just... brothers. I guess I meshed up two requests in one, but seriously, anything where Dean is rocking out to his music, and the boys just going from case to case being them is much appreciated. Gimme Led Zeppelin and Metallica and I will marry you *-*
 
Considering what I'm asking, I don't think that pairings will really be an issue here, but just in case: Gen and wincest only. Please, no het :3
 
2. This one is driving me crazy trying to find it. It's one of those Raised-apart fics (Sam was adopted by rich parents and I think I remember Dean telling Sam that his family was killed in a fire and he has this sort of, phobia of fire? There was a scene with a bonfire and Sam notices Dean freaking out.) Dean is a new teacher at Sam's private school and Sam starts going in for tutoring even though he's like,  the smartest kid there and Dean knows this and calls him on it. They end up getting together and they also meet up over break at this fancy hotel (Sam pays for it cause his family is filthy rich) and Dean finds out Sam left home without telling anyone. I remember Sam telling Dean something about how him and his dad have a bad relationship and that it possibly had something to do with his mom dying? I also remember something about Sam speaking Spanish??

Dancing to Lady Gaga?  
I'm pretty sure it was an actual fic and not just a figment of my imagination, but I remember reading a story where one of the Js or Sam or Dean (IDK) was dancing to Lady Gaga - pretty sure it was Sam or Dean as they were in a motel room - and the other catches them at it and kinda likes it a lot.

I went through the 'dancing boys' tag to no avail.

If anyone knows of a fic like this, I would be most appreciative for a link!  Thanks so much in advance!!

1. I was watching Tall Tales last night and I was wondering, who gave Sam that money clip with his initials? I'm thinking it was Dean.

2. I was downstairs today cleaning the kitchen when I told my little brother to put some music on, he put his ipod on and decided to switch it to Heat of the Moment, I burst out laughing then thought huh, wonder if there's any fics where Sam hears that song and loses it, breaks down crying or just gets really scared and angry.

Gravitation fic  
So I think I read a J2 story a long time ago that was based on the anime Gravitation.  Jensen was in the role of Yuki I'm pretty sure.  I just remember the scene where Jensen reads Jared's lyrics and insults them or something. Sorry for such a terrible description!

Sam with random talents!  
Hi all!  Me again!  I was wondering if there are any fics out there where Sam has random talents that Dean finds out about.  I'm thinking like being able to sing (This one would be awesome!), being able to play the piano, being able to draw......something like that.  I also would like fics where Sam uses these talents as an escape to deal with his hard life (especially with abusive John, with Dean finding out about that too) and if Sam is shy about this talent but encourage by Dean that's also cool.

Please no death fics or anything!  Happy endings!

J2 with Chad  
I have a couple more requests. 
1. J2 at a beach house and Chad is going to stop by. Jensen is upset and thinks Chad is trying to break them up. Jared doesn't believe them. Jensen cries and then Jared shows up saying he was right Chad kissed him. He punched Chad and sent him away. Ring any bells?
2. A Love That Will Last by dean_stalker. It is older and the author has deleted and purged journal so I am wondering if there are copies anywhere or anything. It is about the boys in a band and getting together for the first time.

Still need the second but to be honest I do not have high hopes.

 Hi all,

Searched through the 'music' tag and was surprised to not have found a previous request for this. Does anyone know of any fics that feature Jensen singing? I listened to "Crazy Love" for the first time today, and he has a pretty nice voice.

I would really prefer non-AU fics if at all possible. J2 a definite plus!

a musical  
Sam and Dean were in a town for a hunt, and they kept breaking out into song. Other people around them would chime in and be back up singers/dancers, but they would never remember what happened. When they were in a diner Dean sings 'The Way We Used To Be' by Daughtry. Later at the laundry mat (I think) Sam realized that he was in love with Dean. He knew that he was going to start singing so he freaked and ran into the bathroom. He started singing 'I Won't Say I'm in Love' from Disney's Hercules. Some random chick bursts out of one of the stalls and becomes one of the muses and sings back up. They later find out that it's because of a Siren.

Any ideas?

LF Glee fics  
ok. This is a little wierd but hey. Weird is good.

Are there any supernatural/glee crossover fics?

What i would kinda like to see is the boys at McKinley high for what ever reason and meet new directions. I kinda wanna see Dean seeing the bullying that is happening to Kurt and steps in to stop it either by scaring Karofsky silly or/and teaching Kurt how to fight back/protect himself.

Riverdance and bands  
Two requests for you lovely people!

1. It was a J2 AU where Jared was the principle male lead in Riverdance. It was just a oneshot I think. Jensen was an audience member. And hey! If anyone has any other stories involving Riverdance I'd love to give them a shot, cos I love me some Riverdance. :P

2. Any stories where J2 play instruments or are in bands. I prefer if they're more like Beautiful Disaster by [livejournal.com profile] thenyxie (music wise) over say, country music or pub bands but really, anything you can give me is great. HIT ME WITH WHATEVER.

Dean and music  
Hi there!

While I was walking home this evening, I saw a man playing the violin in the street and I thought it would be hot if Dean could play it (or some other instrument). Do you know any fic that fits?

Maybe his family doesn't know. Being so out of character for him, he keeps it as a secret and is kinda embarrased. I prefer Gen, but if you know of some story like this and it's slash I really don't mind...

I am actually looking for a fan vid that got some attention a couple seasons back - it used the song 'violet' by Hole and focused on the violence against female characters in Supernatural. Hi All,
I thought this used to be tagged as singing!boys maybe? Not sure, anyway I am after any fics gen or J2 where Jared sings. Good, bad or can't hold a tune in a bucket. I want all Jared singing stories.

Looking for Fic based on Soundtrack  
Hi everyone!
So i have a playlist on my ipod with all the songs I've found from Supernatural fics and for the most part I know which songs come from which fics but there's one particular song that's driving me crazy so I was hoping someone could help.

Nickelback song help....other then animals..  

I am a huge Nickelback fan and I was wondering if there were any song fics out there other then ‘animals’? 

I have read a lot of stories based on that song (animals) so none of those please… (unless you think it is mind blowing)

 I'm hoping that I'm not the only insane one out there but.... *chews lip* I just bought Adam Lamberts's CD and listening to it I just had a, well not a craving, but you know just like a craving for Adam Lambert/ Dean.

Ummm... helloooo.. anyone out there in the wilds of my mind? This could also be an awesome plot bunny for someone; maybe pre series where Dean has to use make up to hide bruises from a hunt and chubby ginga Adam sees and they get to talking about how make up is a way to hide flaws and be a new..person.. *trails off* and thentheymeetlaterwhenDeanandSamsaveAdamanditleadstosmexing....

Specific Fic Search  
I thought I bookmarked this fic I guess I didn't. The story I'm looking for is a multi-chapter fic, like really long. I'm pretty sure it's Jared/Jensen or a really AU Sam/Dean. The story begins when they're teenagers. Jensen (I'm pretty sure) is very deeply connected to music and sees the world very differently than everyone else does - like in colors or musical notes or something. ( Cut for spoilers! )

I think this is a pretty well known story in fandom, but I only read it once (hence the foggy memories) but I do remember being very moved by the it. Dear [livejournal.com profile] spnstoryfinders community, help me find this story, please. I'd be very grateful. Thanks!

Specific Jensen + Chris + Steve  
Hi everybody,

I'm looking for a specific fic – more a ficlet? – with Jensen, Chris and Steve.

It was just the three of them having a lazy night together .... and I think they smoked a lot of pot. ;)
I remember Chris watching the others playing guitar and piano and having thinky thoughts about the whole situation. It was kind of slashy, probably.
I believe that was the whole fic ... but it was such a nice atmosphere and a really great read.

Chasing Cars  
Hi everybody!

Does anybody remember reading a Sam/Dean or J2 fic( more likely a Sam/Dean one. Not sure) that used Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars as the quoted passage at the beginning of the story?

I think the quoted lyrics included " let's waste our time/ chasing cars/ around our heads," but that's all I can remember, totally not useful, I know. Sorry. :(

It's posted a while ago, not in recent 6 months at least.

One Specific Pre-series, Gen request  
Hi again!
I've been trying to find this specific story, and i'm a little bit fuzzy on the details, so i apologize for the vagueness, but it's a preseries, with Dean in his late teens, early twenties maybe. He sneaks into a house and is caught by an old man who lives there who decides to give him piano lessons after hearing him play?  They were in town for a hunt and a few people were getting killed including a bully that was targetting the boys. Also, Dean meets someone there, a relative of the old man i think, who also plays the piano and they become friends.

Kid Fic and a Tiny Favor  
So I was watching "The Children Are Our Future" early and I was wonder if there where any Jesse (or other kid) fic? 'Cause now I'm really in a kid fic mood.

I'd really only prefer gen or Dean/Castiel, but really just no Sam/Dean and PLEASE NO RUBY!

Also, about a month ago I asked a similar question, and I don't want to take advantage, but do you have any Bobby songs, that the song comes on and you think of him, because it fits so well?

Sorry to be a major pain, I really should start bookmarking the stories I read and I should have remember to include this in last night's post lol. I'm looking for another J2 fic, all I remember is Jensen was on karaoke or something singing 'I Touch Myself' by The Divinyls. Anyone know where I can find it? thank you so much :)

LF Specific J2 Fic  
The only thing I can remember about the fic is Steve & Chris have a band. They just got a new drummer who wants to get into Jensen's pants. He tries a couple times to get him, but Jensen turns him down since he just started going out with Jared. It's not the main part of the story by far, but it's the only part of the fic I can remember and it's driving me nuts because I can't remember the title or who wrote the fic.

I know it's a long shot, but I'm hoping someone recognizes it. Thanks!

Specific Story by its Soundtrack  
Hey, all!

I'm looking for a story, but I can only remember some of the tracks which may have been on the soundtrack. I can't recall if it's J2, but it probably was.

I believe the soundtrack was called "Gardenia," and Mandy Moore had a track on there by the same name (it's the first song). Also on the soundtrack was, "Oh, is it Love?" (Hellogoodbye), "My Best Friend" (Weezer), and "Anyone Else but You" (The Moldy Peaches).

Any leads would be much appreciated,

One specific and one general search  
There's a story I've been looking for in which Jensen or Dean (can't remember which one) has a child and he sings the Jack Johnson "Angel" song to him/her. Anyone know which one I'm talking about.

And I just got through watching Were The World Mine and was wondering if there are any J2 stories set in Avalon (ie: Oberon, Titania, Puck etc.) or anything like that and if there are any King Arthur-esque stories out there.

Magical Jensen  
First query, so I apologize in advance if I breach any etiquette.

I'm looking for a J2 fic where Jensen is Jared's piano tutor, but he's also got some kind magical talent. Anyway, Jensen's parents freak out about Jensen's magic and move away suddenly. Jared doesn't find out what happened until they meet up by coincidence years later when Jensen is teaching at Juilliard.

I really want to read it, but I can't seem to find it anywhere and would appreciate some help.
